He lost two games and everyone flipped out. That totaly ruined our season, because we replaced him with a kid that had false hopes. A kid that can't win games for us. A kid who has decent stats,but only 2 wins under his belt.

Stone lost against Akron and Southern Miss. Virginia hung with Wake, Maryland beat Clemson, and Wake is on top of their division. Anyone claiming the ACC was ours for the taking is fooling themselves.

Once again, the damn coaching staff hasn't even talked about pulling Evans. I think they know better than you. You know what they know? They know NCSU got their butt kicked, and blaming the QB not only solves nothing, it's flat untrue.

Earl, we can talk stats and records all day. Obviously that hasn't convinced you. So lets talk about something different: intangibles.

Evans showed right from the start something we haven't seen since Philip Rivers - pocket presence. He avoids sacks, throws it away when he needs to, and makes plays out of nothing with underhand passes and timely scrambles. He does this, I've seen it.

With Stone at QB, you have to hold your breath every time he goes back to pass. Stone never learned to feel the rush, instead he watched it. As a result Stone scrambled too frequently and never was able to buy time in the pocket. He also never engineered a drive when the Pack needed it most.

Evans on the other hand has these intangibles. You know why they let Evans throw 60 times? Because the staff, and the fans for that matter, have faith that he might do so with throwing an INT. Stone never showed he could be given that responsbility, so he never got it. Stone is a good athlete, but not a good QB.

This is what you don't understand. This in a nutshell is why Stone is done as a QB for NCSU. I hope he is in fact able to contribute as a TE or WR, since he still is a great athlete.

ok first of all, stop calling us the worse fanbase ever, cuz thats bullshit. Give us something to cheer about and we will cheer. I dont know if anyone else went to the fsu game, but that game was insane, and everyone was on their feet. people are pissed off about donating countless dollars for a first class stadium so that its team can continue to play like shit. ive been a die hard fan since i was little, but after a while, i got used to the concept of sucking (after phil left). i was a big T.A. fan, but he turned out to be a complete bust, and the same with Chuck. He recruits decent players but he and his staff obviously cant develop. Players like Mario make it to the NFL because they are freaks of nature. Its painful to watch a team that was once number 8 in the nation go through losing seasons or bearly squeek out 6 wins. so dont question the fanbase, we bleed red and white. teams like wake are doing well because of what....good coaching (or at least better than wat we've got). every season expectations are high as there is talk of one of the most dangerous backfields in the nation, but what have we done with the talent so far, nothing. the team has no heart, leadership, or spirit. you cant expect the fans to be crazy for their team when the team lacks those qualities. they all left with number 17.

Now teams can sit back in a zone and cover everything now (what they've done the past 3 games) and this advertantly destroys the run.

False, man. They did this because Tretsman was under the crosshairs. Everyone kept screaming that "we don't pass the ball downfield enough". And "all we do is run 1-3 down, and then pass". That is why he opened it up like that. And 53 pass attempts still failed to work. We had 17 first downs to their 23, and we nearly doubled the pass att they had. No TD's.

When this happens you have to question something. Evans job as Qb is to lead this team to victory. He is the boss of the offense when the game is on. Yeah, the coaching staff calls the plays but he gets to pick who gets the ball. He is supposes to orchestrate the drives that place pts on the board.

This pretty much proves to me you've never truly watched Stone play. Marcus NEVER threw the ball down the field. Ask anyone here. Stone gave NCSU no passing attack because he never stayed put in the pocket to allow the receivers to get downfield. Yeah he has a cannon, but hell if he ever used it. Fact.

Evans on the other can and HAS thrown the ball downfield. He DOES have the pocket presence required to make things out of nothing. Stone always tucked tail and ran at the first sign of pressure. Fact.
