^ Awesome vid with that link btw. It shows an awesome variation of a map you can make in Forge Mode. Where everyone goes through a teleporter that puts you directly into a man cannon, that then shoots you across a bridge into another teleporter, then put you into another mancannon, and on and on... it's awesome.

^^don't worry bout double, tripple, or whatever posting...I'm just glad there are ppl out there as hyped as I am about H3...and the save video during the campeign looks f'n sweet!! Don't know if you've looked into it yet, but IGN has a lot of video's on that...one of your links is prolly it, but can't click on it at work...hope everything goes well with the preorder I just paid off at gamestop, I also got an extra controller for any roomates that may want to get ass-raped in H3!!

Oh, new idea: Should we make a TWW Clan? Nothing serious, just a way to let us know when a bunch of TWW peeps are playing at the same time so we can get some custom games to play around in.

I replayed Halo 2 over the last couple of days and had forgotten how bad the texture pop-in was. Here's to hoping they fixed that in Halo 3

$365 for system or $460 for total; retails ~$499 after taxes

i had to buy it to get a bundle deal on a tv, now trying to sell off the halo 3 package, if anyone's interested

i paid $374 at bestbuy 2 days ago, i'm already dropping a couple $; but i'd rather not split up the package, so the real deal is if someone buys the whole package. it would retail for $499 right off the shelf

personally I won't read reviews on H3 until AFTER I play it. A game this big that we've all been patiently/impatiently waiting for, for well over a year would suck if you read some review before you got to play it that said it sucks or whatever, it would be a big let down and disappointment.

It's hard to imagine a feature of this game that someone won't love... Sure, no one aspect of the game is life-changing on its own, but perhaps the package as a whole is. After all, Halo 3 has enough content to keep you stuck to your controller for weeks, if not months or even years.

The single player is bigger and brawnier than anything that's been attempted on a console before. The multiplayer, which already shadowed the competition, has improved to the point of ridiculousness. The new features - Forge, Saved Films, Coop - are frighteningly addictive. And if you don't like any of that, you're always welcome to edit it until you do.

I pre-ordered halo 2 when it came out and when i went to pick it up i felt like there were tons of copies and pre-ordering wasnt neccessary, maybe it's different for h3.

This paragraph had me reeling with how much potential this game has to be the DE FACTO multiplayer game on Live. Will be AWESOME. Check it out...on the forge mode....which opens up a completely new set of experiences never seen before on console.


More than anything else, the combination of Forge and the extensive gametype editor encourages players to create truly unique and new gametypes.

The range of possibilities seems nearly endless--even prior to the game's release, reviewers have already created bizarre gametypes Bungie never predicted, such as a "baseball" gametype using Gravity Hammers as bats and rockets as balls, with objective checkpoints as bases. Another member of the press created a bizarre gametype in which opposing teams must chauffer a specific member of their team to a series of checkpoints before the other team can do the same--but the checkpoints are floating in the sky, and the VIP must be transported in a helicopter-like vehicle. Meanwhile, both teams have players armed with heavy, long-range weapons on the ground, attempting to disrupt the airborne progress of their foes. It feels more like a bizarre take on Battlefield than Halo, with players waging a frantic war-like race simultaneously on foot, in tanks, and in the air.

Neither of those modes is available in the default game; both were made in a matter of minutes using Forge to adjust levels, and the gametype editor to adjust the rules of the game. Modified maps and gametypes can be saved and played with friends in custom games.
