A shit ton of level 1 players standing around W. Grayside is indicative of an imminent assault, I'm told. They're zombie spies. I have taken to exterminating them, though I will likely be tagged as a PKer as a result.

It may not be. Urban Dead was featured on some Yahoo article as one of the greatest free games online or something (it was on a list of like 8 other games), and some people have been saying that the publicity accounts for all the n00bs as well as the server slow down (which seems to have cleared up)

I got three zombie characters--feeding mainly on other zombies. I'm OCD so I'm gonna get all the zombie skills and then save a bunch of XP before getting revived.

being in a big group doesn't seem to mean as much to survivors

we've got to stick near safehouses, entry points, hospitals, police stations, malls and NT buildings and know our way in between

being a zed is much easier. wander wherever you like, bite anything that breathes, and if you get killed, just stand up again

Yeah, generally my main character has just been farming XP by loading up on ammo at Pole Mall, wandering north to Kempsterbank, killing, hiding, and killing until out of ammo, then repeat.

My other survivor is more the science type, and does a lot in the way of helping run hospitals and revive points, though never with a group, but more as some wise travelling hermit.

My two zeds aren't terribly different from each other. It's a pain to get XP with them, though, since you only get 1 point for doing damage to a barricade, and your chance of hitting one of those is 1/2. Meaning that unless I see a survivor in the open, I just move on. For now.

if anyone is considering starting a new character, go with civilian (I prefer firefighter) or zombie. by far the easiest two ways to level up

even though DNA extraction is easy xp for the first few levels, do not go scientist it takes for bloody ever

I played it for quite some time but after all of my characters were maxed out and it was apparent that no new skills were showing up I bailed
