This always seems to happen when Arsenal plays conservative with one man up. The sooner they get Van Persie and Walcott on and start applying some pressure the better.

And way to go ESPN. They are showing the Barcelona/Celtic match on tape delay later on ESPN Classic. Yet they are showing the score on the ticker on ESPN2. Jackasses.

I think a Walcott-Maldini matchup on Arsenal's right definitely favors Walcott.

If Fabregas was a good player he would have put that on target.

He would have atleast put it in a spot where the keeper was forced to make a save. You don't get much more wide open than that in a game like this.

Inzaghi has zero chance to score in this game. His trickery might work against some Serie A teams but I really don't see him scoring against Arsenal's back line.

Keeper closed that one down pretty quick. He might have had a narrow opening at the near post but it wasn't there for long.

Milan's midfield is just too old and slow and tired. Ambrosini and Pirlo are just not cutting it. It ends up being Kaka by himself with the 2 forwards against 5 or so Arsenal defenders. Gattuso is good but his offensive output is never going to be huge. Their forwards don't win balls on defense and they're just getting dismantled by Arsenal.

Not bragging or anything, but I definitely called Walcott being a good choice for this game. Doesn't hurt that he's fresh and Milan is tired, but I think he could have been doing that the entire game.

Milan just looked dog shit tired the entire 2nd half, so anemic and sluggish. Pitiful to watch really, Arsenal looked good tho. Obviously

Now that I'm sufficiently motivated by this game, I hope my TASL game tonight doesn't get cancelled.

oddo's bad form of recent weeks finally came back to bite them...i am really dumbfounded as to why ancelotti refuses to play gourcuff, especially when milan obviously cannot build a consistent attack, oh well, he will most likely find a place with arsenal next year...maybe the special one will be at milan next year??? arsenal was much too fast and milan much too predictable...the only attack they had was through the middle with pirlo and kaka since ambrosini and gattuso can't be counted on to do much on the flank...big overhaul this off season after a quiet transfer window last year...is it just me, or would adebayor be leading the league in scoring if he could find his touch consistently?

pirlo struggled in thie tie, so i can see how you might say that since this is the only time you see him play...but he had been one of the better midfielders in the world of late

Not CL related...but anybody happen to watch the Roma v. Parma game on FSC before this game? What were Totti and Aguilani arguing about?

chelsea is no joke in CL play this year

^ i didn't see it but i believe aquilani was just inserted into the starting 11, and he is still young, so i'm sure totti was just being totti...but how about that roma midfield with totti, de rossi, perrotta and aquilani

Bayern thumped Anderlecht 5-0 in the first leg of the UEFA Cup R/16....it's terrible not seeing them in the Champions league this year inspite of the grief they've given me since the win in 2001.
