You are preachin' to the choir here. I've been bitching about Guile since the game came out. I finally got so sick of how weak Guile is in this game that I've stopped playing it altogether. It was either quit or give myself a rage-induced heart attack. Guile's super attack is so far beyond useless, the only time I can ever land it is when I catch an opponent sleeping and hit them with a stun to set it up.

I'm somewhat surprised that there hasn't been any official word on any patches or upcoming game variants.

oh man, daigo vs justin wong tonight for the finals was fucking intense. Justin changed it up from rufus and pulled this insane balrog out from no where, it came down to tieing up in the end and coming down to 1 last match, but daigo won it with ryu. evo stream was legit as hell.

Justin Wong played Abel in the first match, according the video I saw. Then he murdered Daigo w/ Balrog. I haven't seen the tiebreaker, though.

Looked to me like should have played Balrog the whole time. Wong's got some crazy Rufus though, but didn't Daigo beat him down in the World Champs when he played Rufus?

they are nice and i could easily see using them for other games. i dumbly spilled soda on mine (as noted before, also my first controller ever to get this treatment) so the pad is sticky, but it still works well.

I'm super pumped about this. (no pun intended)

I'm probably going to spend a good week in the challenge mode learning all the moves and combos of the new characters and old ones again.

I'm most excited about the endless battle mode online where it's just 1v1 and if you win you keep playing, and if you lose you go to the back of the line and wait your turn. It brings back good arcade memories and it will be good to watch matches as you wait.

Seriously? The last move, Guile has him dead to rights IN THE AIR with what's supposed to be a SUPER ANTI AIR MOVE and he TRADES HITS with a normal attack, gets knocked out of the super, and gets a double KO? It sounds too ludicrous to believe. I just don't understand why the programmers feel that that should work that way. Whatever happened to clearcut priority?

^The dive kick is hitting guile in the back of the head, it's not like Rufus was in the primary hit area of the ultra flash kick at all. In vanilla SF4, it probably wouldn't have even hit Rufus in the first place.

Besides, they've made Guile a LOT better in this game, which if I recall was your biggest complaint. Sonic Boom is now incredibly spammable with a low charge time, and they made the hit areas of Flash kick (every version) much better.

I was most impressed by Dee Jay in that video, honestly. I wasn't expecting much from him, but he looks like he'll be an extremely solid character. And his projectiles and low kicks come out so goddamn fast. Looked like they had almost no downtime at all.
