5 yards from cutting it to a 4 point game and Illinois coughs the ball up.

USC has by far the best schedule next year compared to any other. This is the type of schedule all top teams that are aiming to win a national title should schedule to even be in the discussion.

9 Pac-10 games (4 home, 5 away)
Ohio State at home
Notre Dame at home
Virginia on the road

No I-AA teams. No Sun Belt teams. No MAC teams. Not even teams from C-USA, WAC, or the Mountain West. Every single team is in the BCS.

I just want to thank the Rose Bowl people for selecting Illinois over UGA and giving us the biggest blowout of the Bowl season.

Thanks a lot morons.

They play a pretty weak schedule every year. But for every Texas they schedule, they also schedule 2 or 3 complete shit teams.

Every team in the Big Ten plays a pretty depleted schedule.

You must not watch much football if you don't know this.

^And I only mentioned this year, because, oh shit, its this years season. Do you want me to go list their schedule for the last 5 years so you can see for yourself, or will you just admit you are wrong?

What's your point? No one is disputing they played a weak schedule this year...

Really the only two "big time" teams that go out and play anyone, anywhere are Auburn and SC... By and large, the SEC plays a pitiful OOC schedule.. In general tOSU plays one really marquee game and a few Ohio softies...

true but the game at Washington was kind of a big deal at the time

Ohio state was only 3 point favorites...that was a gift for the savvy

Well considering that teams in the SEC play 2 or 3 a year....something along the lines of that.

That being said, it doesn't change the fact that they play weak schedules.

Once again, do I need to post tOSU schedule for the past few years so you can understand that you are wrong?

You are probably one of those fans who just sees a big school name and automatically thinks that team makes a schedule good.

Good point. I saw Texas VY's last two years and thought they were a good team. My bad...

Really it doesn't matter who you play as long as you have that marquee game (a UT or a SC) on there to point to...

One good marque game does not make an entire schedule automatically good.

Nobody is saying their entire schedule is pure shit.

But compared to the schedules of the SEC powers, they are pretty damn weak.

Kentucky was a pretty solid team this year.

Put them in the Big Ten or ACC and the lose 2 games at the most.

ROFL.

Florida State was middle of the pack in the ACC, were missing half their starters for their bowl game, and Kentucky could only beat them by 7.

I would agree with that, Big Ten they lose to who? Ohio State maybe and... Michigan maybe? Illinois? no one else, so if they could pull out one of those it would be 2 losses

^ and LSU is playing in the NC game and Kentucky beat them

And they hung with Florida through 3 OTs.

If anyone on here actually thinks that any team in the Big Ten plays a schedule, year in and year out that is stronger than the powers of the SEC play, then you are fucking insane, and don't deserve to ever argue anything dealing with college football.

^Sounds like a win/win for you then

Kentucky were really an average team that got a fluke win over LSU. Their only wins in the SEC were Darren McFadden, LSU, and the Dook of the SEC. Throw in a I-AA win, a MAC win, a Sun Belt win, and their second-best win over rival UL, and that's it.

September 1 Eastern Kentucky W 50-10 1-0 (0-0)
September 8 Kent State W 56-20 2-0 (0-0)
September 15 No. 9 Louisville W 40-34 3-0 (0-0)
September 22 at Arkansas W 42-29 4-0 (1-0)
September 29 Florida Atlantic W 45-17 5-0 (1-0)
October 4 at No. 11 South Carolina L 38-23 5-1 (1-1)
October 13 No. 1 LSU W 43-37 6-1 (2-1)
October 20 No. 15 Florida L 45-37 6-2 (2-2)
October 27 Mississippi State L 31-14 6-3 (2-3)
November 10 at Vanderbilt W 27-20 7-3 (3-3)
November 17 at No. 9 Georgia L 24-13 7-4 (3-4)
November 24 No. 18 Tennessee L 52-50 7-5 (3-5)
December 31 vs Florida State W 35-28 8-5 (3-5)

And by the way, in related "strength of the SEC" news, Appalachian State has a better football team than Florida.

^^ I agree with that, but put them in the Big Ten and they would be favored over everyone but the three I mentioned

that was a great play design by Georgia
