This was BY FAR the most troubling thing of the night for me. Look, I expected us to lose this game; top 15 team at their place and we should have probably been a little tired. I would have guessed a flat start, and it would lead to a 10-12 pt. loss tonight. However, we looked absolutely terrible and most of it was effort based. Jay Bilas said as much at halftime; we never get back on defense ever. One time, I saw Sid on TV telling the team while they were running back on defense the OFFENSIVE SET to run next time down the court. Defense is not being stressed enough and it is showing.

^^^ Haha the tired excuse only really worked well back when we had no depth and players playing 35+ minute games

And watching this team play is a lot like watching an NBA team play, lazy/no defense, players playing as individuals instead of as a team, etc

no kidding.. tired excuse is bullshit. If the guys are so tired that we are walking around on D and not able to jump for a rebound, we have a full bench full of players that are fresh and have no reason to be tired.

last night I would rather have seen a starting lineup of

Javi
Horner
Hickson
Harris
Smith

give it their all and work hard at both ends than our starters loaf around the court. Frankly, the result probably would have been better than it was last night.

Seven nonconference games left, seven wins.

Ten days off with a deep team so not a fucking word about being tired.

This team has had time to refocus. Costner came into the season in piss poor shape. Anything less than 16 ppg, 7 reb over these next seven games is inexcusable.


If this team drops even one of those games then they are no better than a .500 ACC team.

If they can run the table then we can still turn in a pretty nice season.

ECU just beat George Mason today. GM gave Villanova and KState all they could handle at the Old Spice. No way I can show my face at work if we lose to ECU in basketball. And I agree, Davidson will wipe the floor with us.

and lost from a lucky BANKED 3ptr, to a fiesty team (luck evens out though with the villanova win)
