I don't think anyone is arguing that McCauley is a great player. I think almost everyone is arguing that he is better than Costner and that we're a better team when he's out there rather than Costner. He's made some really nice plays this season and he's been given due praise for them. Costner has done absolutely nothing. Honestly, there is not one play I can think of this season where Costner has done anything noteworthy and therefore he has gotten zero praise. You're confusing individual praise for hustle and effort for McCauley with him being a spectacular player. No one is arguing that he is anything but ordinary, but when he's in the game there is no doubt that he produces more than Costner simply because he tries harder. Like I said, that's not really giving praise to McCauley, it's simply realizing that Costner sucks balls this year.  2/17/2008 8:03:12 PM
