Yeah, as more info seemed to come out, it does sound like this dog came from a mill. The real issue for the university was that this company was marketing "Get your own Tuffy!" and probably planning to breed that dog to no end. The accusing company is no better though...Im almost certain this got started because they were jealous of the other company being on national TV with that dog and all of the business that would drum up. Lets stay away from breeders and find a private owner (although not BEU, he will need even more attention than the breeders) and/or do something through the vet school (why we didnt do that in the first place I dont know).

As much as I rag on our fan base...for a traditionally mediocre program, we have a rabid fan base. I would say as far as mediocre programs go, our fan base is at the top (along with South Carolina...that program is absolute SHIT and their fans are about as passionate as they get).

Then you need to go to other places. We pretty much stand out only in the ACC, along with Clemson and FSU in tailgating and fan experience. But almost every SEC team pwns NC State in these areas except for schools like Vandy/Kentucky/etc. Outside of SEC teams, I've only been to an Ohio State game, and that shit was ridiculous. I can only imagine that schools such as Texas/Oklahoma/Penn State/Nebraska are similar to OSU's in being at a different level than NC State.

Our fans are still great, but the tailgating and stadium atmosphere at these other schools is just a different world.

Having recently been to an FSU game, I can honestly say our tailgating is better IMO. Plus, Tallahassee just plain sucks.

Never been to Clemson, but I've heard they're indisputably tops in the ACC when it comes to tailgating. Heard VT is nice, though I don't have any experience there either.

After those four schools, it seems tailgating in the ACC takes a considerable nosedive.

FSU's tailgating sucks now that they suck. I went down there only when they started their decline, and it was definitely better than State's. Plus, you got to walk through their sorority row to get to the stadium...and FSU girls >>>>>>>>>> State girls.

And in a packed stadium when Chief Osceola throws the flaming spear into midfield...that shit was amazing. About as bad-ass as the dotting of the "i" at the OSU game.
