and the whole norman bates thing...i wish they slowly developed in to that instead of bam! sylar's having an identity crisis, but this is an NBC show not HBO so i shouldn't expect quality character development (esp considering the track record of this show)

I don't think "that's the wrong spot" is a good enough answer. They've made it pretty clear that it's not THAT hard to hit the right spot, as it's happened to claire and sylar before, and Danko is obviously supposed to be an expert soldier, so I think it's something more mysterious than that. Something about sylar's DNA being all screwy because of the problems he's having with shapeshifting. The extra tooth was foreshadowing.

^I don't think the weak spot can move, it has to do with the brain's connection to the spinal chord, so that spot can't move. Either there is no longer a weak point, or maybe the knife was too short and didn't go deep enough.

That's it, I'm done with the series.

1) Zachary Quinto was the only reason I watched honestly. He was a fantastic Sylar. Even if he's "still around", if Nathan will be playing his part, I'm done. That was an absolutely retarded way to end his character if that is what happened.
2) What the fuck? A big battle, and we get to see claire trying to see inside? I get the economy is bad, but that is a slap in the face of the fans. Give us some fucking special effects.
3) As said before, if Peter didn't steal all of sylar's abilities...then what the hell was the fight? Sylar would have blasted them both with lightning and it'd be over. Lame as hell.
4) So, has Hiro had his powers uninterrupted for a total of 6 episodes? They gimp him every single time he gains some form of his ability back. What's the point?
5) I swear to God, Ali Larter must be boning a writer, because I can't believe they brought her back again. I hate all of her characters, and she is a horrible actor. There are several other characters which they could have brought back instead of her.
6) Did Nathan flying in the lobby look INCREDIBLY fake? It looks like a wire was on his back and just lifted him up. Are they really cutting back that much?
7) Why is Suresh even still around? Terribly important to the plot I suppose...oh wait.

There's probably more, but I gotta start working.

Zachary Quinto did a fantastic job this episode. Actually got to see a range of emotions in Sylar.

As far as dumbing down hiro, they dumbed down everyone's powers. At the end of the second season everyone's powers were evolving to have these second tier abilities, they had to roll back some of that because everyone was getting way to powerful.

I mean, imagine trying to write a script when one of the characters can stop time and do anything he wants. So that when you have him in these situations, there is no point writing what happens because the character would just stop time and BAM, no plot

Yeah exactly what I said. It was like that episode set in the future back in Season 1 when both Sylar and Peter had like 50 powers and all it showed was the door closing and a bunch of lights. That was back when the show was good though so people were able to overlook it.

i highly doubt that zachary quinto is gone for more than a few episodes. i'm sure sylar will overcome his mental block and get back to his old tricks. meanwhile, someone will have the brilliant idea that claire's blood does still in fact heal other people, so we'll get nathan's corpse revived

parkman vs. sylar would be a good battle if one or the other wasn't unconscious during it

When Sylar as Nathan looked at the clock during the cliffhanger for next season it was obvious that Sylar is still in there and that he'll be coming back out. What bothers me is wouldn't "Nathan" still have all the same powers Sylar did? He still knows "how things work" as shown by the clock, so wouldn't he know that everyone else was lying to him about who he is? And how long will it take for him to realize he has healing powers?

BTW, what happened to Micah/Rebel? Sylar helped him get away but now what?

I don't think that it is Tracy at the end. I think it is the third triplet, Barbara. She was mentioned briefly. That in itself is a huge plot hole anyway Jessica was fighting with the conscience of her dead sister, Nikki for like the entire first season and it was determined that she had a sister that was killed by her father when they were kids. Then suddenly we find out that Jessica was one of three triplets, with Tracy and Barbara. I guess it was actually quadruplets but they just forgot.


And yeah, Nathan/Sylar has like 50 powers but he just doesn't know it. I'd think that his healing power would "repair" whatever Parkman did to his brain though. And like was mentioned before, how long is it gonna be until he gets a paper cut or cuts himself shaving and finds out that he can heal instantly? Or until he gets pissed off with something and accidentally slams it against the wall with telekinesis?
