Hahaha at the Cards game, fan tried to lean over to get a foul ball and BUSTED open his forehead.

Had a baseball-sized cut and blood everywhere. They cut away from him though, haha.

I saw that on MLB network then switched over to the game...they showed the replay a bunch it was pretty funny...he basically jumped too far to go for the foul and fell over the 3-foot high or so fence and landed right on his head and side of his face...had some blood and dirt on his forehead and the top of his nose...they brought out a stretcher in case he had any kind of neck or spine damage but initial reports were positive

haha I don't know if SC will show a replay as it was pretty graphic, like blood-dripping non-ESPN approved programming.

Reynolds homered in his 4th straight game today...his 36th homer of the season, tying Pujols for the MLB league

And somehow he is batting .290 now

well holy shit.

Giants scored 3 in the Top of the 14th to make it 4-1.

Rockies score 5 in the bottom of the 14th and walk-off by the bat of Ryan Spilborgh's grand slam.

No players left on either bench, and I believe the only pitchers left on the bench were the Giants' Tuesday starter (Cain) and Wednesday's Rockies starter (Fogg). Yes, even Lincecum was a pinch-runner.

Amazing. Fowler may be hurt... foul ball hit his ankle in the 14th and he had to run the bases since nobody was left. Could barely cross home.

^ Fucking Rockies are the luckiest damn team ever. Continue to win 1 and 2 run games like it is their birth right.

^^The Dodgers are not that good. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they faded and didn't even make the playoffs. Their rotation is not that of the Phillies or Cardinals or Giants or even the Rockies.

Giants are a good story with a bunch of no names on offense coming up with some clutch hits... rooting for them the rest of the way...

It will be an outright travesty if Zack Greinke doesn't get the AL Cy Young this year.

He has been by far the best pitcher in all of baseball. 16-8 with the freaking Royals. 2.06 ERA 237 Ks.

If he pitched for the Yanks/Red Sox/Angels/Cardinals/etc. he could have won 25 games.

can't disagree...I think Greinke as AL Cy Young and Pujols as NL MVP should be locks

AL MVP and NL Cy Young are a little trickier...I definitely give the NL Cy Young nod to Lincecum, but Haren and JJ should get some votes

AL MVP is the tricky one...Texiera? Miggy Cabrera if Detroit makes the playoffs? Mauer if the Twins make it? who knows

I'd probably say NL CY could go Lincecum, Carpenter, or Wainwright.. personally I might have to give it to Wainwright, should have 20 wins, 2.58 ERA, top 5 in strikeouts, although each of them are top 5 in all those categories.

AL MVP I'd look for the guys you said, whichever team makes the playoffs (Twins/Tigers), or maybe Jeter too

Tigers lucky as shit.

Runner on 3rd one out. Suicide squeeze and the pitch was high and inside so he had no choice but to bunt at it and popped it up for a double play to end the inning...

[Edited on September 29, 2009 at 2:36 PM. Reason : TWINS got out of a major jam in the 9th... extras]

[Edited on September 29, 2009 at 2:46 PM. Reason : twins about to win. up 1 in the 10th with runners on 2nd and 3rd.]

If Greinke can go 7+ scoreless against the Twins in his next (and last) start, he'll finish the season w/ an ERA under 2...not too shabby especially considering he'd have over 220 IP

Oh I'd love to see Mauer win it, and I definitely think he's right up near the top, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they gave it to Jeter or Texiera, or if Detroit wins the Central to Miguel Cabrera

Hell if Toronto was any good Adam Lind would have an argument, even before his 3-HR game last night

HOLY SHIT Ricky Nolasco has 14 strikeouts through 6 innings vs. Atlanta

just checked the box score...struck out the side in the 3rd, 4th and 5th...8 of them swinging

16 K's through 7.1...most so far this year

Henry Rodriguez just entered the game for the A's and every fastball so far has been 99+ (high 101mph). But it's only been a couple batters.

Agreed. Mauer has a chance to lead the league in BA, OBP, and SLUG. If that does not win you an MVP, then just start giving the MVP to whomever leads the All Star voting in each league.

I think Carpenter just locked it up

He's all like "hey, I think I'll throw 5 scoreless and hit a grand slam real quick like"

when I made that last post, I was thinking it was Wainwright who was pitching and got the GSHR...Wainwirhgt is going tonight though...unless he fucks up, give it to him...Lincecum got his 15th win last night but oh well
