Premiere was a little disappointing. All the elements were there to be funny, but it just didn't seem to fit together well. I think they screwed themselves by trying to have each character have their own storyline and then try to tie them all together. Next week will be better I'm sure.

Yeah that part was funny but it kind of went on for too long imho.

I just think they're using the same techniques for plot that they used for character development in the earlier seasons when the characters are pretty much as developed as they could possibly be. I don't really know whats missing

I liked the episode this week as well. great character matchups. dennis and dee work the best together. charlie and mac are always gold. and frank is a great addition with his weird ass

The best episodes are typically the ones where Dennis and Mac take the lead, Charlie either tries to help out or teams up with frank, and Dee is doing her own thing or trying desperately to be a part of what everyone else is doing,

Dee is worthless unless she's with somebody else, but she is best with Dennis. charlie is great with anybody but especially Mac or Dennis. Frank doesn't really have to team up to be funny but he is good with Charlie as well.

i thought the boat ep (#3) was an instant classic. highly enjoyed it. also enjoyed mac's big break, because it broke the group up properly. but the rest have been ehhhhhhhhh. did enjoy the pool one too, but it didnt stand out as much to me, though again, the pairings were excellent.

The Dennis/Charlie storyline was pretty funny, but I don't think I laughed at Dee/Frank/Mac in the woods, not even once...it seemed tonally out of place and weird and unfunny.
