rate-wise his scoring is better internationally...but the level of competition he has played against is far weaker than in the premier league.

but i think owen would score plenty if given more chances...i would much rather see owen start than berbatov this season. berbatov has been retardedly frustrating. this would also allow rooney to sit back a little and have his shots and let owen poach. but a game like this, to me, shows why youd want an owen as a sub for england...in a game united had no right winning, was being dominated in possession for most of the game, they still won cause they had someone on the team who knew had to finish 3 of his 4 chances in the game.

I don't think it would even be Crouch vs. Owen for a spot anyways, they're completely different players. It's probably Bent or somebody like Ablongahor that would keep him out because Crouch is going to be up against Cole and Heskey. Defoe's a lock at this point, imo

Why isn't Agbonlahor ever in the talk to make the England squad? He's done consistently better than Walcott and he starts ahead of Heskey, yet Heskey still manages to make the squad all the time. I think he could be better than Bent and he is better than Crouch. BTW i don't hate on Crouch, I think he's a pretty good player, especially for having such a weird body.

Crouch is a fantastic player but only does well in certain schemes. Also, his ability in the air can't be overlooked. He'll win just about anything that comes his way.

man utd drawn against ac milan...a few days after beckham says he relishes a draw against united...chelsea having to play inter(jose). united's draw last year against inter...i also think there were a couple other interesting ones last year...the draws this year for the group stage saw a lot of coincidence with the ibrah-eto'o swap then end up in the same group.
