Not a bad idea. I don't mean any disrespect to Canes fans... I just love the Caps. I went to a ton of games last year but this year I'm a student again and just can't afford it. I've only been to 3 games this season. Thanks god for my big screen HD TV though.

Making all the graphics shiny and big doesn't make it impressive. The fake arguments at intermission between Milbury and McGuire are terrible, and did you know that Eddie Olczyk was Sidney Crosby's first coach in the NHL? He comes of as still bitter about being fired for being one of the most incompetent coaches we've ever had. That doesn't even mention how much they dumb down the commentary in order to get American viewers to watch, or how they shut down the TribTron for the Penguins outdoor playoff viewing parties last year. Believe me, I'm just as tired as you are of the Penguins being on NBC.

As someone who has spent a fair amount of time in both the Raleigh and DC area, I can honestly say that the 'Canes have a better fanbase and a better arena. I'm pretty sure most people in Maryland think that hockey didn't' exist until 2005.

On a side note, the first hockey game I ever saw was the Capitals versus the Whalers in 1992. They handed out Sylvain Cote jerseys and coffee mugs.
