Howell is my least favorite player ever I think. He does something bad every time he touches the ball it seems, then all of a sudden he comes up with a WTF NICE PLAY only to act a fool and fuck something else up on the next trip down the floor. He sucks, and he quit on a few plays today which I find more frustrating than his suckitude.

I mean take Vandenberg for example. Howell is probably no less skilled than vandenberg, but at least JV gets the fuck out of the way.

Oh and I called the 6 point swing on the Horner flop I mean charge. As soon as it happened I said here comes a 3 and we'll lose this game. I fucking hate that I can call that shit.

benching horner causes team chemistry problems??? wtf. i have seen no one look to horner for leadership on the court.

Taking horner out changes the way we play in that we don't have to pathetically try to run plays through him, but it would mean using javi, smith, and wood as primary options in sets. That's a good thing. We can run screens for wood rather than horner. I'm much more comfortable doing that.

And leadership isn't just about being vocal on the court. Sidney has said he's been more of a silent leader, follow-by example type. I said some of a leadership role, not that he is some kind of floor general or something.

oh and sidney should not have taken degand out with 4 fouls. the offense was working with javi and degand. right after sid took degand out, the offense stalled and virginia went on their run.

that and playing horner and expecting him to take the big shots and play big D (guarding landenberg are u srs?) place this loss on Sid for sure.

If we still suck next year I'll be OK with letting him go. But firing a guy when you have that kind of recruiting class coming in would be disastrous. The coach who came in behind him would still have NO TALENT AT THE GUARD POSITION.

lowe has one or two examples and is way at the bottom of the acc in coaching ability

if we got, say, Fran McCaffery from Siena, by his 3rd season we'd be in the NCAAs. By Sid's 3rd season we...went nowhere.

i dont think i could handle it if after all this shit we lose brown & harrow too

but really, the recruiting lowe is bringing in is dangerously close to being suspect as well. I mean, as much as we suck it's amazing that he can get anyone but right now we have like 2 1/2 commits. And one of those was supposed to be in last year's class. I could very easily see Leslie peacing out to UK and Cothron bailing on us anyway and we're left with essentially a 1 man class from 2010...and 2011 recruiting has been very quiet

If we finish at the bottom of the ACC, I don't see why anyone would come here instead of a place that seems to know what they're doing at every level in the Athletic Dept.

^^I'd hold that comment until the half way point. We're only 2 games in and both have been winnable.....You make it seem like we arent able to compete, which is simply not true. All we have to do is make a few free throws and you'd be singing a different tune. Seems to me that the game plan is working, the players simply arent earning the easy points.....
