^^I have to move my sister to Richmond, Va on Saturday morning and only about 6 other guys said they would go, so I'm not going. If anyone wants to play in a pick up game on Saturday morning at 9:30 am then go to Davis Drive Park. They always meet on the side of the shelter that has 3 fields.

Cool, I'll come out there sometime.

soc33com, you missed out on a fun game last night. We won 4-0. The weather and field were perfect.

I might be out there as well. Too bad we couldn't get enough out there with a full squad, sounds like we could have played more than one team - maybe half and half.

There is talk of rain on Thursday, and maybe Friday and Saturday too. (Yes I know we need it).

I really want to scout Sasquatch before we play them too.

Don't know what you're looking at, but I see no chance of rain Fri, Sat or Sun.

I had heard something like a 10% chance of rain on Friday, but I guess channel 11 was wrong.

i was out at davis dr on saturday....not a good place to play some pickup

my friends and i were out there around 9. there were about 10 of us so we played 5 v 5. about 15 minutes into this a few people started showing up. i'm thinking awesome we can make the game a little bigger. we asked these guys and they were like 'no we're waiting on more people'. thats cool with us. we continue playing and within the next 30 minutes these guys had like over 30 people total. instead of splitting off and making multiple games they all packed in on one field (they played small goals just like ours). i hope none of you guys were one of those people cus that didn't make any sense to me. why are you playing small goals with over 15 people per team when you can split off and play say 8 v 8 or 10 v 10? or just make it a full game, 11 v 11, and have subs or make a third team. loser team subs out?

anyway if yall do pickup, post time and place and i'll bring people out.

^Because that is just what they do. No one wants to play in the goal and no one wants to sit on the bench. In the summer there are no lines and they play without lines all year though. People stand offsides all game and they choose to use no rules. No one likes to play in goal either. As people come they either join white shirts, or color shirts. It isn't uncommon to play 13 vs 13 with ball hogs. It's a good place to pick up talent though, if you need someone to fill your roster. I ended up signing someone to play indoor on my team and they offered me a spot on their indoor team too.

btw, a lot of guys from my team go to Lynn Road. Ask elduderino about it. He could give you more details.

Yeah, a couple of us are heading out to Lynn today, but it's often the same clusterfuck as you've mentioned. However, sometimes they use their brains and do rotating teams. Oh yeah, and bring your Spanish with you, because only a few people speak English.

^Yes I got the e-mail. Hopefully you read the e-mail about the weakest links on our roster and what we are doing with them tomorrow. Also, check your e-mail, or the message board for the positions roster. Hopefully the new game plan will help us pwnt Hibernian in a few weeks!

We live or die by our CMs.

That being said I may or may not be there tomorrow. I've literally been working 18 hour days for the past 4 days... I am physically exhausted and probably in no state to play. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

^^LOL! I know how you feel. We have a bunch of guy who want to/don't want to play in goal, or on defense. Lots of players seem to want to play where they don't belong for the benefit of the team.

^LOL! at the second half on sides/offsides calls. The first one you got screwed on when you guy were about to take a shot and maybe tie the game. Then when you tied the game I thought your player who crossed was offsides. He was more offsides on the game tying goal than you guys were on the offsides call. Also, your guys first goal off the kickoff shot from half field was pretty nice. I was like...!!!!!!!!!!

As for my team. We took the lead on a nice shot. I let 2 get past me and then we tied it with a PK. Then Newcastle scored to take a 3-2 lead. Then we tied on a second PK. Then we won on a quick restart off a back pass to the GK with about 8 minutes left. They pretty much handed us the game, but we'll take it.

I noticed that their second game they didn't have their CM who ran the show against us. They looked lost without him.
