So yesterday playing as State v. GT, GT kicker bonks an XP off the upright, a State blocker catches it in the endzone and the play is whistled dead. Next play State comes out to kick the ball off. wtf

Just a straight kickoff, no points scored

I'm guessing that my guy catching the miss screwed up the AI. Should have been GT kicking off after the touchdown.

I won 30something-6 though so whatev. GT has been awful in NCAA since Paul Johnson took over.

Yeah, my locker has two. Download the one labeled - GatorBait2

It's got all the names but some of the teams aren't completely edited for recent news like new starters, dismisals, etc. I'll have that one in a few weeks. My PSN name is the same as my tdub name.

For real...he's a beast in my dynasty also......the sack leader for State averaging about a sack per game.

Also, Jarvis Williams is a beast in this game too.

If any of the 360 guys want in, we have two open spots in our league

Michigan State and Cal are the best two teams available

Lemon was definitely solid for me in my first season.

But in the second season, the big shock is Donovan Counts. He jumped ahead of both Underwood and Barnes rating wise for RB, he's up to like 89 with great speed and acceleration.

Oh and what recruiting difficulty do you guys play on?

Is there any difference besides the number of "change topics" you are allowed?

I use the same difficulty for recruiting as I do playing...in this case, All-American

I put it on rookie just for kicks and it was ridiculously easy...I'm ECU and I use Conference Prestige as a selling point, and I get a 5 star commit who is somehow entranced by the greatness of Conference USA

My favorite part of this game is that every team has hired Ms. Cleo as defensive coordinator

I come to the line with one back, two wideouts, and the safeties and LBs creep up

So I audible to short pass play without changing formations and the safeties move back

Audible back to an iso play and they overload the box again

Audible left or right and LBs shift

The game plays really well, but a lot of the fun of playcalling is negated by clairvoyant defenses

^Yeah, what's up with that? When are they fixing that?

And is everyone just playing on the standard slider settings? I haven't heard too many complaints, but usually people make drastic changes to help make the game feel more realistic and have more realistic stats.

I'm playing my dynasty on AA, 7 minute quarters

I haven't touched the sliders much at all and I'm getting good stats and fair gameplay

I upped receiver catching a bit, but everyone still drops everything as soon as they're touched

Other than that, I think the only setting I've changed have been increasing CPU RB ability and pass protection

Yeah, that doesn't sound too bad. I'm really looking for some sliders on Heisman.

While All-American might be fine for me now, I like to start on Heisman and just have it really tough. In the online dynasty I'm in (outside TWW), we try to make it where we get beat up a little bit and then work our way up.

I played Heisman on the PS2 games, never played 10 enough to make the leap

But everything I've read on Operation Sports points to Heisman in 11 being super cheap: lots and lots of penalties, magnet catches, etc.

That's unfortunate. I wish the developers would but a good portion of its focus into AI. I'd love to have it where it could recognize trends in your play-calling and start adjusting to those plays. That's ultimately what it comes down to. After a couple seasons, while you may run a ton of different plays, you know certain plays you can go to for a first down when you need it (even on Heisman).

My goal for our dynasty (outside TWW) is to have challenging games, have some realism and not win every game every season.

I'm playing Heisman in my offline and am pretty satisfied. Just got thru a season with Arkansas and went 9-3, and each loss (Alabama, South Carolina and LSU) felt like I got beat legitimately and not thru any cheapness of the AI. There were a few bullshit moments like dropping wide open passes or having their RB break like 5 tackles, but nothing gamebreaking like in past games, where their 350 pound DT would chase down my 96 speed running back from behind.

I'm going through a State Dynasty on All American, AA Recruiting....and some adjusted sliders.

Gameplay seems about right, but a little easy. State is 9-3 in the first season.

But recruiting is horrid. I'm usually pretty good at recruiting I thought, and I got 1 4* and the rest 3* and 2* recruits, ranked 98th nationally, and for comparison UNC has 6 4*'s and is ranked 12th.

Anyone else having trouble recruiting with lesser teams, especially State?

I'm with State, AA recruiting difficulty

Year one I think I had all 3*s, two or three 2*s

Year two I had 2 4*s, almost all 3*s, and a 2* or two

Year three a few more 4*s, maybe five total, the rest were all 3*s

I'm in year four now, and am going hard after 4* and 5*. I've already had two 5* commit and am about to lock up a few more. I won the ACC last year, so my school prestige is up as are a lot of my other pitches. It makes it much easier, maybe too easy.

the 9-2 FSU Seminoles are about to play the 9-2 Gators in Talahassee

Freshman phenom cornerback Deion Sanders has 40 tackles on the season. Of those, 19 are for loss and 16 are sacks. He has 2 picks and 3 forced fumbles.

I was trying to make a speed demon with great coverage like Deion, but I accidentally made a corner who likes to tackle people and make hits

Was down 35-0 to Miami at halftime of the ACC Championship Game

Came all the way back to 42-49, got the ball with a minute to go, and went 4-and-out

That handoff glitch is a pita. How the hell did they manage to let that through? It's also retarded that it takes 50 steps to get to the Gameplan options in order to turn on chew clock. And damn you Wilson for getting knocked out for 6 weeks with a broken collarbone in the first game.

THANK GOD.

If I have one more defensive tackle/end jump 10 feet in the air to swat a deep pass down, I am going to throw my controller through the TV.

Gameplay is a huge step up from last year and EA is reportedly ironing out the few bugs. I say go for it, Terrelle Pryor is beastly.

anyone with a PS3 know where I can download a completed roster from?

I've never done this with my PS3 (or any of my consoles) so I dont even know where to look or how to go about downloading rosters, so the more info you can give me to help me out would be great.

it looks like I need to download the files to a flash drive, and then transfer them over to my ps3. Anyone have a good roster they can post a link to?

To get the rosters: From the NCAA 11 menu go to Team Management – Roster Share – Download Roster – Download Roster. Then search the PSN name gamingtailgate. Make sure to save the roster file after downloading and load the file manually to see it take effect.

I just wish I wouldnt have started up a dynasty last night with randomized rosters - or that there was a way to upload the real rosters to my dynasty. Oh well, guess I'll just re-start my dynasty

thanks again

My first season with State I did great....was like 10-3 and beat South Carolina in the Meineike Bowl.

Throughout the season and after, I've been tweaking the sliders tiny adjustment at a time.

Second season, I start off 1-4, even losing the UNC at home....

I can't tell if I went too far with the sliders, my team is that much worse, or I've just been unlucky...

I still have russel wilson, but my defense is beyond bad.....it's like a sieve. And Wilson has thrown a few too many INTs...even though he's supposed to be very accurate. He already threw 8 INTs(and 4 TDs) through 4 games, tying what he had last year.

Is it good variance from the game, or sliders are too far adjusted?

You have to play on Heisman. All American is just too easy. I started a season on AA with Tennessee and was dominating. I killed Oregon abd beat Florida handily. This is absurd. And, I typically play as a coach. I rarely take control of the players so the competition level and sliders are really important. Heisman level is a bitch though, really tough to win.

More cerebral way to play the game. Emphasizes play calling. (Also, I suck at controlling the players so it works out well.)
