Past 3 games we have ONE win, and that win was Boston College. I REALLY hope this week off was a good thing and no rust to start the game. Worst thing possible would be an early defensive error and FSU take the lead.

That said, I expect Carter Finley to be fucking insane, it better be anyway. I think our fans are intelligent enough to know just how big of a game this is. To say I am excited is ridiculously understated.

If we lose, 7-5. Beat Wake, Lose to Clemson, split UNC-UMD.
If we win, 9-3. I just don't see us winning out even with this kind of momentum, pick any one from the last 3 games.

Bottom line is that even if we win tonight I think FSU controls its own destiny in the division.

*HOWEVER* I think we can pull off the W tonight. One game at a time...that's all.

If we beat FSU,

Clemson: toss-up. Clemson has been inconsistent: has played good and has played bad. Death Valley is one of the toughest in the ACC.

Wake: we will crush them regardless. Wake is terrible this season. Senior day at home.

UNC: should-win. Carolina has no business winning games this season. But they've shown glimpses of competitive play. Should be tougher for them now that Pianalto is out. There's still the chance they could ruin our parade.

Maryland: ought-to-win. We're tied with them in our division, but they haven't played anyone yet. We'll see if Maryland is for real or not in 2 weeks when they play Miami. I don't think they're that good, but you never know when we play them. If they lose to Wake this week, then we should beat them too.

Man, I'm not seeing it though, unless the defense puts it's big-girl panties on and stops the run AND Wilson has a hell of a game with no interceptions. That's a lot to ask, but we'll see. It'd be the biggest win in CF in a long, long time though.

Shirts are in the seats, hope it doesn't rain. It's going to look cool, but you can tell they figured out which sections would be what color as they put the shirts out, rather than actually planning it out.

My prediction for the game: Russell plays like he has ice in his veins, the rest of the team plays their fannies off, and hopefully at the end of the night, we are all saying "What critics?".

I always felt that bad conditions limited the passing game more than the running game. It should neutralize their speed advantage some, but we'll need to do like BC and get pressure on Ponder. Hopefully our OL will be up the task tonight.
