At least that was Miami instead of us. Yeah, that's about all I've got on the bright side of things.

Incredible play

Maybe 5 NBA point guards right now would have made that

Who passes the ball with 1 second left?

our team likes to pass the ball with 1 second left on the shot clock, resulting in shot clock violations

Game was tied. He had nothing to lose and was cut off.

That's the first pass you learn to make on a drive like that.

90 percent of players would have seen the clock and tried to shoot over the double team

if they were losing by 1 or 2, i think marshall takes the shot

but there's not much penalty in making the pass and Zeller not getting it off in time

my comment from yesterday about uva's collapse was

Quote :
"yeah that wasn't ncstatelike

state tends to have a drawn-out collapse over 10 minutes of game time, which is like 30 minutes of real time, so we can agonize for a full half hour about a fully avoidable collapse we know won't be avoided"

miami just got the nc state experience

Well, that was monumentally disappointing. We might be looking at the worst of all possible scenarios here, UNC wins the tournament WITHOUT EVEN GODDAM TRYING.

Well, no, I guess the worst scenario would have NC State making it all the way to the final game and then having UNC effortlessly win.

I'll quit with the hyperbole now.

Ha, I left the house with Miami up big with all the momentum, looked like it would be an easy win. Epic choking.

I mean I want UNC to lose but Miami's ineptitude is just hilarious.

and then a week later, honor Sidney the last year on his contract.

that would truly be epic NC State shit.

^ Fair enough. Although if you threw in a special ceremony honoring all the work Lee Fowler did while AD, perhaps including a statue in front of Reynolds, then it would truly be hell for NC State fans.

I'm glad that these announcers miss Billy Packer so much, it's good that SOMEONE does. I'm also glad they're missing him this year instead of us having to hear him speak.

The way I remember it, Haith wanted the job in Raleigh very bad (isn't he form NC??)...and we did not want him at all.

There might have been a total of 2 NC State fans that actually wanted Haith...and they were mentally handicapped.

Wonder if Durand Scott cries at night wondering? Could have been playing in all NYC backcourt in front of a sellout crowd in your home city. Hope the ethnic bitches were worth it..

So what happened with Nolan? Did he stub a toe? He looked like he snapped his femur with his reaction...

Because of how many nerve fibers are in the extremities, injuries to the hands and feet can be pretty painful. Just think about how bad a paper cut to the fingertip hurts in comparison to a cut farther up the arm. There's a number of possibilities that could have occurred besides him "stubbing a toe". He could have subluxed or dislocated, which may require minor surgery, but would sideline him for a few weeks. He could have sustained a metatarsalphalangeal joint sprain, which is known as turf toe when it involves the big toe. And of course he could have always broken it.

I wouldn't be surprised if his x-ray looked like this based on how he injured it.
