So if State ever gets good again, you don't want to follow them with the next step of their careersl? You want to comb thru Turkish league box scores to see how Leslie and Purvis are doing at the "next level"? You just want to ignore every player's accomplishments after they turn 22?

If the main draw for you is hustle and teamwork, by all means, continue to idolize the college game. But if you like the game of basketball as a spectator sport, the NBA puts out a far superior product.

Don't be so melodramatic. Basketball is too much of a money maker in this country. If the NBA stays out of commission for too long there will be plenty of attempts to start up new pro leagues.

I just get perturbed by all the folks asking whether anyone cares that they're not playing, like they speak for everyone. Of course people care. I hate people who think college basketball is "the way the game should be played." If bricking wide open 19 footers, flopping like a fish out of water, group hugs and slapping the floor is real basketball, I don't like the sport.

I like the NBA but I don't watch a ton of regular season games. I mostly follow the box scores and standings because NBA box scores tell you what you need to know (whereas college basketball they can be more misleading because of the different styles, defenses, and longer shot clock).

If they dont play 30 games while football season is here I dont care that much. But I'll be pissed if theres no playoffs. That would be an awfully long May/June if all we had was fucking baseball and the blah hockey playoffs.

something tells me there won't be a season at this point. why play less than half the schedule? it's futile. yeah playoffs are fun to watch, but if i had to choose between the NCAA tournament and NBA playoffs, i'll pick NCAA tournament every time.

as an aside, hockey playoffs are actually pretty fun to watch, IMO.
