walt's genuine relief when jesse told him brock was going to be ok was a huge clue that it was actually walt that'd poisoned him. what a fucking awesome season finale. would have been a perfect series finale. i don't see how they can top that. no way, IMO.
but anyway, this season was kickass. 10/9/2011 11:22:19 PM |

I guess the bomb was changed to be triggered by the bell? [/obvious but want to clarify] 10/10/2011 1:05:11 AM |
Bweez All American 10849 Posts user info edit post |
I don't think the bell was dinging like it's supposed to, that's why Gus freaked. So it was just a direct trigger.
Also, Lily of the Valley is not deadly. So, Walt manipulating Jesse was pretty shady but at least he's not willing to kill a child like gus was.

Holy Fuckin Shit Balls...
That was epic. "I won" phrase pretty much sums up the whole season. Although, it would be kinda crazy if they brought gus back for the 5th season as two face... lol But yeah... how are they going to top this... 10/10/2011 7:47:23 AM |

Gus is dead. Mike is still in Mexico, jobless now? Saul and Jesse still have a little have a couple hundred thousand apiece? Walt still has a couple hundred thousand, might try to go back to the cartel and offer his services? 10/10/2011 7:54:51 AM |
aimorris All American 15213 Posts user info edit post |
I'd think Jesse has way more left than Walt.
Maybe Mike will come back to work for Walt since he's the man in the area now and Walt becomes the new Gus. 10/10/2011 7:58:41 AM |

There is no way Walt can just get back up the meth cooking business, unless he puts the lab in the car wash which just seems unlikely. 10/10/2011 8:15:23 AM |

the kid (Brock?) is going to get healthy and eventually they'll ask him why he ate the flower berries, he'll say he found them or something that hints to Jesse that Walt might have made them available to him 10/10/2011 8:56:34 AM |

Oh, I'll think he'll start cooking again, but it'll prolly be at least 3-4 episodes before he does. 10/10/2011 9:10:56 AM |

oh, I thought you meant for the rest of the series.
Yeah, I didn't expect it to show him in episode 1 cooking up, unless they jump ahead a while and use the first part of the season to flash back how they got there.
It seems pretty clear they're setting up a Jesse vs. Walt final showdown though. And Jesse will probably win.10/10/2011 9:15:50 AM |

My wife usually has a hard time following the show but she was pretty damn spot on about a few things that I didn't immediately catch.
The shot of Gus with one side of his face untouched and the other dead was perfect for a man who had one image as an upstanding citizen and the other as a drug kingpin. A two faced image for a two faced man.
Also, and I believe this is where the other 16 episodes will come into play, she pointed out that in one of the last scenes of Gus he was monitoring his cameras. The police, DEA, etc.. will surely raid his chicken store and confiscate those items. When Walt came in gun slinging and into Jesse's rescue it was well within site of Gus' cameras and is likely recorded on that PC. Normally that wouldn't have been an issue but since Mike is MIA and the other guy died with Gus there is no protection.
The last thing was something subtle and is probably reading too much into it. Jesse asked Walt if Gus still had to die. Walt said yes and, based on Gus' ruthlessness, as viewers we all understood and sided with Walt. However, based on the berry scene we now know that Walt walks a line that is dangerously close to Gus in terms of ruthlessness, which to me says that Walt must die. 10/10/2011 9:41:21 AM |

the whole Gus-Chile story is still floating around....wonder if it has any importance for next season, maybe the writers left it there as a go-to if they needed it 10/10/2011 9:47:48 AM |

already deleted from the DVR, and not sure which episode it was, but when Walt was spinning the gun on the patio table, didn't it eventually point away from him? I don't remember if it showed that flower pot being what the gun pointed to, but I'm curious to take another look at it 10/10/2011 11:44:49 AM |

^^^ If you didn't think Walt was going to die at the end of this series (or possibly even before) then you are retarded.
^^ In an interview with the creator he said that he wanted to leave his past up to our imaginations. He said there is a possibility that Gus might come back in some sort of flashback, but he didn't think that any legitimate answer he could give to Gus's past would satisfy everybody.
I thought the finale was great, I'm glad I hadn't seen any spoilers (apparently the two face shot was floating around the internet for the past few weeks). Also pretty funny that the random botanist guy who claimed the plant the gun pointed at was lily of the valley back during that episode was spot on, though I think we all knew in some way it had to have been Walt who poisoned him. Personally I hope the season premiere is part flashback to how Walt set everything up with Brock. 10/10/2011 11:44:54 AM |

What an awesome season finale.
Can't wait to see what happens when the DEA raids the laundromat
I'd like to see if the German empire gets drawn into things, but its hard to say what direction the writers go in. Could see it going either the empire route or the DEA following the trail to Walt

Yeah, I didn't mean to say "raid". The fire will be investigated, and I'm sure they'll find the hidden bunker as the source of the chemical fire...and find a massive underground chem lab. They'll ask questions.
Not to mention Hank will be all "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I TOLD YOU GET OVER THERE WHERE'S MY HOVER ROUND"

Well, Walt will attempt to get to the laptop before the DEA does to erase things. I'm sure he'll think of that. Or maybe Mike will tell him, if Mike winds up on his side. 10/11/2011 1:56:49 AM |
