Look pal there is a NL and an AL. Each league has a best hitting team. Clearly this year that was the Texas Rangers and the St Louis Cardinals. Thus they were the two best hitting teams. Whatever troll the fuck on.

St. Louis was 14th in the NL in triples. Not to mention they were only 6th in homers. So in the two most important batting stats, (based on total bases) they were average/borderline terrible.

Their THR score was .840. Horrible.

You're the one trolling. I'm just stating facts.

Oh really? What team pray tell led the NL in runs this year? And add to that they don't hit in Coors Field, Citizens Bank, or Great American Ballpark half their games.

[Edited on October 19, 2011 at 1:35 PM. Reason : I don't need to look up my stats fanboy. Triples is a really telling stat!]

[Edited on October 19, 2011 at 1:38 PM. Reason : 6 regulars hit .296 or higher]

[Edited on October 19, 2011 at 1:48 PM. Reason : Just looked the San Diego Padres led the NL with 42 triples, what a power offense!]

Highest batting average, OBP, slugging and OPS in the NL all while striking out the least amount.

They led in TOTAL BASES. You have no clue what the fuck you are talking about.

Get the fuck out.

hahah i agree with you packboozie but it was funny that one part...

"i dont need to look up my stats fanboy."

then you followed with

"just looked up the Padres led the NL with 42 triples"

Just came off funny... But these are the best two offenses getting to square off

Well I meant stats for the Cards....like I care about the lowly Padres hitting stats.

hey now had to be trolling me.

hey now is dumbass. Who gives a fuck about triples? Seriously half of the triples are flukes caused by a bad bounce or an OF taking a bad angle. They don't mean shit.

And Packboozie is correct that the Cards are the best offense in the NL.

regarding Dirk being denied the first pitch opportunity, this quote was funny to me

Quote :
"Nowitzki, who was the MVP of the NBA Finals, is a diehard Rangers fan who says he watches "every playoff game" and attended Game 6 of the American League Championship Series."

ha, 2 minutes after I read that, the Rangers have decided they will let Dirk throw the first pitch Game 3

Beltre also "caught" a line drive from Pujols in the first inning that one-hopped.

Yep, bad call on that one too. Very surprised every ump missed that foul ball in the 9th. Huge mistake in a one run game of a World Series.

That ball barely hit him if it even did at all.....didn't matter. Motte has give up 1 hit all postseason.

Don't feel like arguing. But since Texas is one of the two best hitting teams in baseball, of course it mattered.

I will say you're due about 50 more WS breaks when factoring in the Denkinger incident.

So, I think I read something in that Rangers thread about cnt[truck model] naming his son after Josh Hamilton, and while I don't have a response to that, I will say that, I'm kinda glad the Rangers lost tonight.

Andrus hasn't done much hitting this postseason, but he's got a pretty decent bat for a middle infielder and is nasty with the glove, so how the hell is he only making half a million this year?

nah, he signed a one year deal in early 2011. figured getting an all-star spot last year and finishing 2nd in ROY voting the year before would have earned him a little more than that.

lol @ wondering why a 22 year-old latin american player is making the league minimum

Quote :

He didn't sign anything in 2011, he was simply retained. He hasn't had any negotiation rights until this upcoming offseason when he'll be arbitration eligible for the first time.

^^^^ no kidding, but it seems like it would have been in the Rangers' best interest to lock him up for relatively cheap in the long-term, rather than getting a couple super cheap years out of him, then having to pay a lot more for the remainder when he hits free agency.

That's never happened to any player not named Evan Longoria.

[Edited on October 20, 2011 at 10:37 PM. Reason : They should have signed a 21 year-old to a four-year multi-million $ deal? Not even Longo got that.]
