We had more total rebounds and less turnovers than Maryland (same number of offensive rebounds)...

He was running a lot of mid-range curls all game. I don't know how it took 2.5 seasons for someone to realize he doesn't need to stand 25 feet away from the basket for 30 seconds every possession. That could be huge if it takes defenses a while to adjust.

Hey guys. Just got back from the game.

-The talent level of the female NC State fans is top notch. Well done by the camera guy to show them on the Jumbotron.
-There is some kind of Wolfpack cheese sauce up on the 300 level concessions. Good stuff. Highly recommended with the chicken fingers.
- I think the loudest the arena got was when the WWII vets come out. Nice job by Yow to bring them out. +200 credibility points.
- Good to see the dance team again. I would like to see more from them at future events.
-We beat UMD.

It's amazing the difference effective coaching makes. Hopefully we'll continue to see improvement on this point. I think everyone wants to see him get more shots off.


It was closer than it needed to be due to poor defense towards the end. Thankfully we hit our free throws down the stretch... something we used to really struggle with.

TDT hasn't had enough quality PT to figure out his place in the offense, so the FG% isn't surprising. I think he could be a key component of the team, especially since Howell and Painter are so damn weak on the inside. Rotate him in and he opens up another offensive dimension, much like he did in the few minutes he got tonight.

Howell was basically neutralized for the majority of the game. He had a few key plays, but couldn't connect in the paint. I don't think he's a bad player, I just think he didn't match well for this game.

^^He was only neutralized in the first half when he picked up two early fouls. He had a very good game and matched up well against UMD's big men. There were a couple of over the back calls against him that should have been called.

It was good to see us hold our own on the boards against a big team. out rebounded them by a few in the first half. and by 4 for the game (we both had 11 OREB).

good way to start the season. the Leading scorer in the ACC got his (with some hail mary shots, still don't know how some of those went in), but we did a good job on team D making Stoglin work really hard to get his shot.

Hope we can get better at defending the 3. they shot 42% for the game, but were over 50% before they had to take 3s at the in.
