So who's got a better model?" he said. "This multiplayer thing being free was a mistake. I don't think anybody ever envisioned it would be this big. It's a mistake because it keeps those people from buying and playing other games." Activision is unlikely to repeat that "mistake" with its new game from Halo developer Bungie Studios, Pachter said. The industry diviner predicted that the multiplayer component of this game, rumored to be titled Destiny, will be subscription-based. "Activision's going to try it, because they're greedy pigs, and they're bold," he said. Elsewhere during his talk, Pachter shared some biting words about Nintendo's just-launched Wii U. "I think you're going to see now with the Wii U, notwithstanding its early launch support, nobody's going to support it," Pachter predicted. "I don't think we're going to see every game on the Wii U next year. I think when next-gen consoles come out they're going to be better than the Wii U." Lastly, Pachter predicted that acquisitions are on the horizon for Activision. He said the publisher is likely to go after Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two first because "that fits in very nicely." He also said Activision "should" buy social game studio Zynga, though Pachter said he does not think Zynga CEO Mark Pincus will sell. "

i've paid for a couple map packs in my time but after the COD Elite/Xbox first rights debacle last year i'm hard pressed to ever do it again.

and i'll never pay for a subscription for COD MP. If that day ever comes i'll throw my FPS towel in.

Knifing in this game is infuriating. I have whiffed on so many easy, face to face, melee attacks that i want to throw my controller out the window. and i get knifed by guys who seem to be 4 feet away from me. it's mind boggling how many i've missed. in MW3 I was so good at being able to react and melee that guys had no chance. now it's like i'm stabbing at the air.


that being said, i love what the patch did. raising UAV to 425 points has made them harder to come by and you can really start to tell who are decent players and who were getting the benefit of UAV spam that first month.

if i try to do it like mw3 i run right by the fucker.

the thing that drives me nuts is everyone i play with likes hard core kill confirmed so now i don't get to knife anyone really let alone 5 people in a row... at least not without camping.

hardcore kinda annoys me the smgs are way over powered for it and it just breeds camping.

i play for a couple hours each night. It's definitely balancing out. The last patch helped a lot, especially raising the kills/points required for UAV. UAV is no longer spamming the skies and it can be a turning point in a match when one is finally earned. They've also nerfed the SMGs slightly and made drop shots so much harder, thank god.

I'm a big fan of the patch, I don't vehemently hate the game anymore, but they still need to make it that you can't get killed by RPGs from 2 feet away without the shooter not killing himself. That shit is fucking annoying. Still feel like you die too easy compared to past games though. You still don't see lines of like 20-2 in one game anymore (at least I feel like you don't, unless they camp their ass off), you can't not die.

agreed. I have the most luck learning maps by playing domination. The downside to that strategy is snipers hang out in other spots on other modes.

playing the spawn flip is almost more important than playing the objective or other team. It's a different game. That being said, i'm starting to have more fun playing than anger.


What i'm not having much fun with are the guns. This game doesn't make me want to try out every gun like MW3 did. Even then, when i was most successful with the ACR, I loved grabbing the LSAT or other guns and leveling up. But with BLOPS2, even with the gun prestige, I just don't. I use my trusty 2-3 classes and that's it. There is too much other "shit" to worry to be successful in a game to worry about using an inferior gun just for fun.

Is it just me or is teh first mission bugged. I am bringing woods back to the river after a botched attempt to use the radio tower with Hudson. The cubans are all up in our ass and Hudson is yelling we have to move.

I literally can not do anything without instantly getting gunned down by all the converging Cubans. I have even turned the difficulty down to recruit. Hudson is not moving and anytime i stick my head up to go somewhere or shoot some cubans it is literally 1,2,3 dead.....

I don't remember having too many issues with the first mission on Veteran. It took a couple of tries before I knew which way to go though.lol

The enemy doesn't stop spawning. What worked for me me was thinning them out, leaving a ton of bear traps and running like a bitch to the water. Rinse and repeat.


The tree stands suck. There's guys following you on the riverbed and up on the cliff. Once you get to a point of cover, like the tree stands or logs a bunch of enemies will come for you. Thin them out and run tot he next batch of cover.


If this is pissing you off, god help you when you go to Afghanistan for that cluster fuck of a mission.

There is nothing like the ACR in this game. The closest I've found is the M27 with Grip. But it still takes 4 shots to kill with any gun on this game.

They really changed the Scar and a lot of people hate it but its my favorite AR.
