Birdman wasn't a star in Denver, what was his WP48?

I mean Kobe ceased to be a star during the couple seasons he was injured, so clearly Birdman wasn't a star in Denver

Birdman was pretty productive in the minutes he got in Denver. He obviously didn't have that 100 fg% streak during the playoffs...but he got tons of rebounds, blocks, and clean-up baskets when he got minutes.

He was just as productive in Denver as he was in Miami.

So if the Celtics were going to be below average with Pierce/Garnett, how exactly are the Nets now above average with them?

That's a 4/5 seed 2nd round team right there

because Pierce/Garnett > Reggie Evans/Gerald Wallace?

and the rest of the Nets starting lineup is better than the Celtics'? (with the possible exception of Rondo being a little bit better than Deron Williams)

Rondo plays in the Arena Football League during the summer...and gets paid VERY well as a wide receiver

that's why he has turned down multiple invitations to play in the Olympics

Cp3 to resign in lac supposedly. Not too surprising there weren't really many better situations

I think dwight comes down to Houston or la. Houston makez the most sense overall especially if he is serious with his statement that winning a title is most important. If hes healthy then they are ready to contend beginning next season. Id give them at least 1-2 years away from potentially being favorites but theyd definitely be in the mix from the get go.

Not sure what theyd do with asik. Could he complete a sign and trade? Or are the lakers ok with just sucking dick and rebuilding

I'd take Rondo over Williams.

I think Williams happens to be one of the most overrated players in the NBA.

That's the exact same thing every single talking head that covers the league has been saying. If Dwight really and truly wants to win, he should go to the Spurs in free agency and don't do a sign and trade.

Then why did the REDEMPTION team in 08 select DW but not Rondo? Remember they were nearly defeated by Spain in the finals again. The REDEMPTION team picked the strongest roster in every position.

DW has two gold medals in hands already, but Rondo has nothing yet.

Rondo has an NBA Championship and led the league in assists the last 2 years

I think DW is a star, when he keeps himself in shape...he is lazy...and not as good as Rondo, the best pure PG in the league

Williams has regressed over the past 2 years. He showed some signs of life this last year, but I think most teams would rather have Rondo going forward.

DW may have passed his prime. But in his prime years, he's top 2 pg in the league with CP3.

[Edited on June 30, 2013 at 1:41 PM. Reason : And assists doesn't mean too much in basketball. Score and reb weigh much heavier.]

[Edited on June 30, 2013 at 1:54 PM. Reason : Yes, Rondo has a ring. But he didn't contribute too much that year. I believe gold medal= 4 rings]

Deron hasnt been elite in 2+ seasons. Rondo is one of the most dominant PLAYERS in the league. The two aren't even comparable at this stage of their careers. Deron isnt significantly better than kemba walker anymore and the choice would be obvious between a young, cheap walker and an aging, 2x overpaid Williams

The nets didn't really improve much in this trade because it takes minutes away from guys with similar production. Their ceiling is the 2nd round. Absolutely no way theyll be better than indy, Chicago, and Miami. And maybe nyk, atl, or someone else if they make a big off season overhaul

DW was selected over Rondo for the national team because the national team needed shooters. They already had Lebron so did not really not a true-point guard. It was essential to have guys everywhere that could knock down the 3 point shot which is rondo's weakness. Thats why we lost in Greece.

Thomas Robinson traded to Portland for two second rounders and the rights to two foreigners. hope he gets some minutes. a year in to his professional career and already traded twice for a whole lot of nothing (though I do like Patrick Patterson). and he supposedly almost went #2 to the Bobcats in last year's draft

I think Robinson is screwed he just stinks and his psyche is probably damaged. But you never know.

Getting Jefferson would be a step back. Hes just not good and potentially expensive. Dont understand why we don't focus on getting young cheap guys and draft picks. Using cap space for free agents is the dumbest waste.

We need Wiggins and Jefferson might make us win 30 games

read that the Pelicans are making a hard charge for Tyreke Evans

a starting 5 of Jrue Holiday/Eric Gordon/Evans/Ant Davis/Robin "Retard" Lopez with Vazquez and Ryan Anderson coming off the bench makes for an interesting team

The Houston Rockets' pitch to Dwight Howard to begin free agency on Sunday night centered on their plan to help the Los Angeles Lakers free agent win multiple NBA championships.

The Rockets were the frontrunners entering free agency, and they did nothing to lower their chances, according to sources.

Hakeem Olajowon, Clyde Drexler and Yao Ming all had a presence in the meeting.

Kevin McHale made it clear to Howard that he planned to build his system around him, and that, ultimately, he would hold Howard accountable every day in the franchise's pursuit of a title.

The lakers are going to suck without Howard, the magic suck without howard, and the rockets will be contenders with dwight howard. Yeah he sucks.

Tyreke is actually a nice player (last season at least) and entering his prime.

Without him the kings will be the worst team in the league probably

Howard wasn't healthy last year and they lost gasol, nash, artest, and kobe for extended time and hill for practically the season.

Nice add for the bulls if they can play dunleavy with butler some. They really need to move deng badly though.

Also just noticed korver signed with nets thats a big upgrade over joe Johnson. And they kept evans. They are much better than I gave them credit for a few days ago. If deron finds his game again and lopez got healthy and committed theyd be threats.

He's got an expiring deal worth a little over $14 million and he's not going to get any better at 28 yrs old. Plus, he has been injury prone the past two seasons while leading the league in minutes per game.

D.west got 3/$36 from Indiana. $12m is a slight overpay now but could be a huge one two years from now. Hope they didnt screw their title chances. That leonard for hill deal was a disaster.

Great deal for clippers. They give up bledsoe who is a good young player but they get rid of washed up expensive caron butler. Now they have 2 good SG and dudley can play sf as well. Need to resign barnes and that team is good now.

Phx has no clue. They lose their best player and get good young bledsoe but he will steal minutes from dragic and Butler will steal minutes from tucker. Doesnt really make them better and expensive.

Solid value for budinger 3/$16 hes a good young player. If love, bud, and rubio all return healthy and they resign pekovic the wolves should be above .500 and the hornets could be with evans. We know the lakers are out. My giess is the warriors would miss too. so many injury possibilities and I dont see another team slipping so far unless Dwight spurns Houston

Looks like splitter will get 9m per year. Thats decent value but I wouldve liked to see them trade for a stud since they had max room. I wont count them out yet. Perhaps they think miami is too old to beat them again next year.
