Playoff breakdown for NFC:

NFC East: Only one team. None of these teams are great, but they are all solid. 9-7 probably wins this division, and there's no way the #2 is 10-6 so unlikely to get two teams. I think Philly and NYG are pretty dead even but NYG with the home loss tonight is now slightly behind. Dallas has an outside shot, Washington very little chance.

NFC Central: Two teams, with an outside shot at 3. Green Bay is not as good this year as they were last year but their schedule is total dogshit so they're basically a lock to make the playoffs unless Rodgers gets injured. Chicago is pretty much a lock too because their schedule is ridiculously easy and they are a really good team. Detroit has an outside shot, but I can't see them making it. Minnesota is obviously out.

NFC West: Terrible division. Only one team will make it. None of these teams figure to be in the top half of the league. I figure someone will go 8-8 and win it, but 7-9 definitely gives you a shot. The 49ers are obviously the most overrrated team in the league. You can't count on their special teams to be freakishly incredible this year, and it's likely their defense will slip some. Throw in a tough schedule and 13-3 is impossible to repeat. Seattle looks like a bad team but i think people are underestimating how big of an improvement Wilson will be. Arizona stinks and the Rams are by far the worst team in the league. Seriously, that team makes Cleveland look competititive.

NFC South: Good division. Atlanta should easily win the division as they are one of the best teams in the NFL this year. It's pretty obvious that one of the wild card teams will probably come from this division and the Saints have a slight edge over the Panthers. The Panthers defense and special teams will improve and the offense will probably remain top notch but they look like they may be one year away from the playoffs. Tampa is much improved but they're not even close to playoff level.


Not a bad year though, we probably go 8-8 but if the defense is even average we're 10-6 and probably in the playoffs.
