The N/O brought it up a few times along with purvis, the lewis thing makes a little sense if he feels hes a starter and the job was promised to the new guy

I have no idea why Purvis would transfer. He came in thinking possibly one and done. He transfers and he has to sit out a year pushing the nba back at least 2 more years. I know he was on the bench toward the end this year, but he's unquestionably a starter and one of the keys to next years team. Come back and show what you can do as a focal point of next years team.

at this point the NBA is probably a pipe dream for Purvis. I never thought of him as some killer NBA prospect, but now he doesn't even look like NBA roster material...

not everyone is a surefire NBA pick after their freshman year

face, I'm sure you think Howell could give a good 6-8 minutes off the bench for some NBA teams...I doubt you would've said that about him after his freshman year...and Purvis has more upside

I was the one screaming to bench horner for howell his freshman year. The one saying howell could average a double double after his sophomore year. And the one saying howell was our best player this year.


Purvis stunk for the majority of the season. At the end he was just brutal.

Yeah, I think you all are giving up on Purvis way too soon. It's an adjustment going from being the #1 guy in high school/AAU to then figuring out how to pick your spots as the 4th/5th option. Warren disappeared in a number of games as well. It seemed to me like he was pressing when he got his touches. I think he'll be fine next year in a featured role.

I just want to take this time to let you all know that I have decided to transfer next year. I will be transferring to Chowan College so I can play right away. I tried out for the team this year but it just didn't work. I didn't want to compete with Vandy next year for PT.
