What game(s) do I need to be watching. I'm too lazy to look up some tables.

United Shaktar should be a good one . United have been playing entertaining football lately with lots of high scoring games. Beat leverkusen 5-0 last game week.

Ribery is too damn dramatic.

If someone breathes on him he goes down like his leg has been taken clean off, yet always with one hand in the air to signal a foul.

I was just thinking the same thing. Going down is fine, he really does get fouled a ton. But he always goes down grabbing his leg like it's been broken in two.

United have conceded 3 goals in the CL this season. Fewer than any other team.

Told you guys. Moyesy is our Paisley. He's gonna get us European Cups...

Hopefully no Arsenal fans die tonight. Though it is a Napoli game so surely a stabbing or two should be expected.

Barca destroying Celtic in part to a Neymar hat trick.

Napoli went ahead 1-0 on Arsenal and now Arteta picked up his 2nd yellow of the match.

Fucking pussy gameplan to not get blown out. Gone in round of 16 yet again.

Sick burn? I'm not trolling or referring to any team.

Playing on Thursdays with the thinnest squad of real PL title contenders would destroy Arsenal this season.

lol at the opponents United or Chelsea will get. Arsenal could have been in this category too.

Galatasaray, Olympiakos, Schalke 04 (United), Zenit, AC Milan, Leverkusen (Chelsea)

I would want the opponents in this order:
Olympiakos
Schalke
Zenit
Galatasary
AC Milan

Seriously though, Chelsea and United would absolutely have to shit the bed to lose next year. The only teams I see United losing to are AC Milan or Galtasaray and it would have to be a horrible performance for that to happen.

haven't you noticed? Manchester United are mediocre now, and liable to choke in any game

they're not the same team they've been for the past 20 years...you can no longer count on them to get the job done

it wouldn't shock me to see them lose to Schalke

it's awesome

^^ and ^ On paper both squads are still a lot better than the teams they will be facing.

Also if you are going off a shaky start, form can change just as quickly as it can fade. By both of your logic Man City had no right to beat Bayern Munich. Yet they have. United and Chelsea would have to under perform to lose to these teams. There is also a transfer window in the middle. I wouldn't be surprised to see both teams spend a bit.

My UCL picks:

Barca - City
Atletico Madrid - Milan
Chelsea - Gala
Dortmund - Zenit
United - Olympiakos
PSG - Leverkusen
Bayern - Arsenal
Real Madrid - Schalke

Barca over city, PSG over Leverkusen, Bayern over Arse, and Madrid over Schalke are going to be some pure asswhoopings.

good for him

at times Arsenal were irresistible against MC (though they lost 6-3)...if they're serious contenders in this competition, now is their chance to prove it

Arsenal and Man City are both very classy sides right now...I'm not writing either of them off

(if I had to pick favorites, though, I'd agree with kiljadn)

it wouldn't surprise me...I've watched both teams a fair amount, and City have been as potent as Barca, at their best

neither has been consistent, though

also, it'll be fun to watch such tiny Barcelonians as Xavi, Busquets and Iniesta trying to halt the progress of Yaya Toure

Looks like Liverpool will be at home for the Champions League round of 16 first leg.

They'll be at home for the second leg too.

that's okay..we've already won it 5 motherfucking times

and Man U won't be winning it (or the Premier League) any time soon, so it's all good.

enjoy your decline into mediocrity, sir
