Wow. Knew that Avent didn't want us to roll over, but that was about as good as you could hope for in a game like this. Didn't play extras, didn't get anyone injured, got the bats going late to keep the momentum rolling into tomorrow, and likely bought a couple young pitchers some confidence down the road.

Frustrating end to the tournament. Not getting any runs in that first inning was big IMO - 2 in scoring position with 1 out on a chance to take an early lead and we got nothing.

yep...thats the point. We always seem to get hot enough to get to a title game but can never finish it off. Thats like 10 ACC title games we've been to in baseball/basketball in the past 2 decades and we're winless in them all.

Our pitching this year has been really, really impressive when you consider we lost Rodon, Jernigan, and both Petersons from last season - plus Stone's ineffectiveness. The hits per nine, ERA and everything is great, but if certain key guys (DeJuneas, Wilder, O'Donnell) could get the BB and HBP somewhat under control then the rotation & bullpen should be even better next season.

Looking forward to see where we end up in the regional.

At least we are making these title games. We have been relevant in ACC Baseball pretty much every year under Avent, despite never winning it all. Recruiting is still good, and even in our off years we do some great things. Keep up the hard work, and even if we never win it all, I am still proud of what these guys are doing every year.
