Does battery life get better? I've only fully charged mine once but it's only lasted about 32 hours. And that's with very little wifi and 3g, but still lots of testing and some surfing

I don't think so, there are some minor fixes on the browser and some other crap. Not worth it if you have a JB phone.

Go to howardforums, or some of the other iphone forums and you can check out all the "upgrades" on 2.2.1

I average about 36-48 hours of battery life... just depends on how much I use it for shit during the day.

yeah i think i will actually get a decent amount of life out of mine during the week now. Like i mentioned earlier, my office is just out of 3G range so i turn that and wi-fi off during the days to conserve.

Ok, I've got an ipod touch. Does any know why they date and time of it would just randomly change? It was right earlier today and now says its dec. 25, 2009 with a messed up time as well. I didn't look through this thread to see if this has been addressed but any info is appreciated.

^^ All the pictures I took were exactly 1 year off in date. But the calendar knows it's 2009.

I charge my phone approximately twice a week. I live and work in a 3G area, and use the phone to check stocks, email, and Google voice search for addresses and phone numbers. Not much more than that.

I am getting more and more pissed off with some of the missing features on this phone that were standard on others.

Big one right now is no way to record a phone call. I need to be able to record my phone calls because I am dealing with creditors for my mothers estate. And before any wanna-be lawyers jump in, its perfectly legal in NC to record a call as long as one person on the call knows its being done.

Anyone have experience with a jail breaked application that will allow you to do this? I may have to switch to my Sony ericsson for a while...

yes, we're all well aware of the DFU mode problem with the latest quicktime/OSX updates.

you can't screw up your phone that way, it just won't boot into DFU mode.

yeah, browser on iPhone is the best on any mobile platform I've ever seen/used. I don't have 3G coverage where I live so that part doesn't matter that much but I do have wifi at work so it's nice to have that feature. The maps/gps is great. After jailbreaking there is a maps app you can get that will do turn by turn directions unlike the built in app which will not

yes, the iphone's browser and ease of use is one of the things that finally made me spring for the iphone instead of a BB. I spent quite a bit of time with the BB Bold and while its a gorgeous phone i just kept going back to the iphone. The safari browser is fantastic.

I have an Exchange Email question



I just set up my work email throught the Microsoft Exchange option on the iphone. I have the email working properly, my question is about the Sync Contacts option.

When i click On or Sync Contacts it warns "Syncing with Exchange will remove your existing contacts from your iPhone"

does this mean that if i click sync it will wipe all of my personal contacts (from phone sim card)???

yeah I think so. When I did the same thing with google recently, I backed up my contacts first through itunes and made sure it was set to sync contacts up to google as well as down. It did end up losing 4-5 though.
