hmmm. thats kinda hard if you have a set dinner and you are trying to hit the gym on the way home instead of making 2 trips and wasting gas.

but i must bow down to the expert.

you know I am not a morning person, i tried working out in the mornings, and I am more tired not more energetic. it throws my day off. 5-8 I feel at my best and have always had the best workouts. then i come home to a nice shower. and this was a one time deal, I was trying to make less trips save my time and gas.

i'm too tired all the time to exercise. i don't get how people can have so much going on and still find time to do it. i can't run on < 6 hours of sleep (that is like the minimum i need to not feel like poo in the mornings) and going to the gym would require running on like 4 hours of sleep. i really want to go. i have a free membership. but i am mentally, physically, emotionally exhausted. all i want to do is swim. and swimming takes even more time than a normal workout because of all the showering and wetness involved. sigh.

i guess i have one free day a week. but does working out once a week really help anything? i seriously doubt it.

My gf was the same way, thinking she was too tired to work out. Working out actually gives you more energy.

fitness is not a sometimes thing. either go to the gym or quit bitching when you don't see the results you want. perhaps you should set your priorities about working out. make it secondary so you don't complain wne you miss it.

as for arcgreek, he seems like a serious westside powerlifter so perhaps you should do some bowing.

haha please show me where i have ever bitched about going to the gym. I have seen my results ie. lost 40 lbs in less than one year, and for your bitch ass who can't read. I went to the gym today. haha. you are as dumb as you look.

sorry i don't feel the continuous need to post every day what I do in the gym. i don't have that much time on my hands.

Your symptoms are due to poor diet and lack of exercise. There *is* time in the day, you just have to make it happen.

It is harder to make the time for it if you aren't used to it. But hold yourself accountable, and push yourself to go even when you don't want to. If you got your workout done, well at least you did that and you're improving your health, and that's the most important thing you've got.

Swimming is the worst because I just can't get enough oxygen and my legs get tired way too quickly, but I'm trying! And I use this thread as a bit of an aid too--posting in here makes me feel proud that I did it Eating right is a liiitle harder, namely because of money. But it is possible to cut out sodas and junk foods and replace white grain with whole grain etc.
/ end

That said,

7min treadmill (warmup)
3x10 hip adductors
3x10 hip abductors
2x20 leg press
1x75 scissor kick
1x50 flutter kick
3x10 roman chair
2x10 glute
3x10 incline situps

35min swimming

Still waiting on that New Rules of Lifting book. Excite.

i think my symptoms are from law school 10-12 hour days...blech. and other issues beyond my control. high stress. which is why i want to work out. but i'm too stressed to work out. it is a viscous cycle. i think i am going to start swimming on thursdays. thursdays i'm done w/ class at 12 and i usually only have 50-70 pages of reading for friday. instead of like, hundreds. and swimming is my jam.

but today i kinda got a workout...i rearranged my living room all alone and spring cleaned my condo. i am beat.

absolutely true

I did a whole lotta nothing and overate most of my life.

at first working out did make me exhausted, but seriously in like a month suddenly I didn't feel so damned tired all the time.

You just have to prioritize your life. If you really want something to happen, you make time for it.

I don't do a true zercher lift (from the floor), but use the rack, w/ the hooks set up for elbow level. Most important thing is to keep shoulder stability (break fingers, chest up (same as everything else (HA)). I line up at the bar, and pre-bend my arms, brace myself (break fingers and and shit), and get the bar in position, then lift.... I let my arms fall almost straight down, as I can, with my arms almost going straight out--rather than crossing my fore-arms. The bar is also held up against my stomach.

I've worked 10-14 hour days, 7 days per week for the last 4.5 months (I even worked on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, although I only worked maybe 3 hours on Christmas. Most weeks, I get one day where I only work about 6 hours.)

I still make it to the gym regularly, like 4+ days per week. You can make it to the gym if you want to.

I walked for a couple miles.

I want to jog, but I haven't found the proper equipment. And that's not an excuse. I really want to jog. Walking totally blows when you want to go faster.

I also did some booty exercises. Besides walking, I do nothing but booty exercises. So far, the results are underwhelming. I want my ass to be comically large and perky.

wow, that is a ton of weight for a raw bench. once upon a time i could've hung in there through your first 3 sets. i doubt i could do 275 three times nowadays, and if i did, my shoulder would hurt for days.

tonight, deadlift:

1x275
1x295
1x315
1x335
1x355
1x365
1x375
