saw this on eBay listed as "12-13 USA jerseys"

I'd consider buying one of these if they really end up looking like this.

I love the Stars jersey. It's not any worse than the Cameroon "lion attack" onesie:

^^^ I promise you that the back of that jersey looks like ass....probably with a giant white box right in the middle where the numbers go. See Paraguay.

But seriously, the US just needs to stick to a style and stay with it, like every other country does.

Ahhhh, perhaps like this?

Any hoop jersey is going to look like that under international tournament rules where the numbers must be on a solid field.

Looks like the U-23 team is off to a good start. USA 6 Cuba 0. The semi-final could be tough since it will probably be Mexico, or Honduras.

WOW! I was too busy watching basketball to watch the game, but we lost to Canada at home and now need a win vs El Salvador to get to the semi-finals and have a chance at the Olympics.

WOW! What an entertaining game though. The USA scored in the second minute to go up 1-0 then gave up two quick goals in a matter of a few minutes later in the half to go down 2-1 at the half. Then they came back to take the lead 3-2, but gave up a goal at 93 minutes and 45 seconds when they were supposed to play 4 minutes of injury time.

With Shea, Bunbury, Adu, and Agudelo this team should be qualifying. You may not care about the Olympics but I care that some of these guys could be in the '14 world cup squad. If they can't qualify through CONCACAF than they won't win anything

It's never a good thing to lose but not being at the last Olympics wasn't a good reflection of Mexico's youth talent.

We'll be fine.

^ This. The Olympic tournament is purposefully a bizarre and neutered competition, so it doesn't interfere with the importance of any of the FIFA competition, be they the World Cup itself or any of the youth World Cups.

Altidore wasn't on the qualifying roster and neither was Agudelo. They had somewhat of a B Squad at Olympic qualifying since clubs aren't required to release players for any of the youth tournaments, so it isn't the end of the world. It would have been nice to get to the Olympics though. Last cycle Bradley, Altidore, Adu, Feilhaber, Davies, Edu and a few others were able to play together at the U-20 World Cup, Olympics, Gold Cup, and Confederations Cup before going to the World Cup where the USA won it's group for the first time ever. It probably didn't hurt the senior squad that some of the players got to play in 5 tournaments together before going to the World Cup.

I really love the idea of hoops, hate the idea of having a blank block on the back (i know the rule), and hate how their design technique is to just heap new ideas on top of existing ideas (the sash on an already hooped jersey).

Also the number should be a solid navy, and those emblems inside the numbers are hideous.

I don't have a problem with the space, it just feels gigantic on this jersey. And the color choice of the numbers is odd.

And fuck the sash, seriously.

That's a good point about the space. Couldn't they just make it a neat box, solely around the number?

Yeah, hell, Klinsmann doesn't even let our players choose their numbers. How you gonna put a name to a number when it's going to change next week anyway?

Honestly, I don't like names on national team kits anyway. Earn the recognition by scoring and having a number on your back, not the other way around. Yadig?

This is the USMNT that I had hoped for when Klinsmann was hired. Uptempo, positive play. Lots of one-touch passing, quick on the counter...this is fun stuff to watch.

I guess we will see more on Wednesday. I haven't watch Brazil much since the 2010 WC but I imagine the style and tempo of play is significantly different than Scotland's was today.

I haven't seen Neymar play much yet. Obviously he is one of the more hyped young players in the world, so I'm eager to see him.

That Brazil frontline will be SICK going forward. The midfield is lacking for a Brazil team.

you're in for a treat

Neymar is going to run rings around that US back line

and you're out of it, that midfield is pretty strong. Just because you don't see Kaka or Ronaldinho doesn't mean it's weak at all. Ganso is amazing and so are Wellington and Lucas.
