this team played like shit, they couldn't keep possession of the ball connecting passes together, they hardly bothered Mexico's half of the field almost all game, the midfield didn't know how to move the ball forward, and they're winners because Howard and Cameron played like they were worth a rat's ass (good job to Cameron) and Mexico missed a ton of sitters not because of anything we did but because when it always comes time for them to put a shot on goal they get stage fright or something, Chicharito missed an absolute sitter that our backline and Howard wouldn't have got to

That's the type of game where you eke out a win and the coach brags about it to the press about how his system is right and papers over the cracks. And then we lose to the Czechs by 3.

Here's how I read this: I talked a lot on a message board about how US Soccer sucks now and how Mexico is the greatest and that it's a shame we haven't and never will win a game in Mexico and they actually did win so I decided to write a bunch of stuff to make it look like I really know what I'm talking about and that it doesn't matter when we actually do win in Mexico because we really didn't deserve it and winning games doesn't matter anyways because you eventually lose a game after you win one.


This game doesn't mean we're the best team in CONCACAF now. But if you can't enjoy seeing us win a game in Mexico for the first time ever because you're still butthurt that Klinsmann is the coach, then stop watching the games.
