^haha

^^seems like the economists dont get much say-so at Nintendo due to their blatant rebellion against conventional supply/demand theory. Either that or they are operating on an entirely new philosophy with regards to their supply chain mgt.

I'm holding out for Zelda II and Vectorman. Nintendo Power said they'd be released soon (in the May issue which was sent out in March), but they're nowhere to be found yet.

I don't understand why people find this game so hard to beat (yes I did beat it). I even had a college friend tell me it was impossible to beat, so I sat down and played through the entire game and beat it that night (didn't even take too long). I hadn't played the game in like 6-7 years.

every monday, usually between 1-3 games; there is a complete list on Nintendo's wii website....seems like they are probably pushing 100 games, but that is just a guess

^yeah, it is amazing, the economics are interesting to follow on this thing

isn't the summer typically a slump time for the gaming industry? still not sure you will see these things on shelves until next fall...

so there is this trick in wii sports.

its for the power throws bowling part. on the 91 pin set you can bowl it on the actial barrier (far left or right) and if you can get it all the way down it will shake the screen and give you a strike..

anyone try it yet?

^I heard the "big" increase in production they are talking about is about 2 million units over the next fiscal year.....not likely to help that much with demand as it is!

i think they should just release any more wii games like wiisports or wiiplay on the shop channel. they're really cheap and simple games...but i dunno how much space that would take up on the console...

so i finally bought a Wii yesterday. I wasn't even shopping for one, but I was at the Wilmington Costco and saw one unit sitting on the shelf. It was the first time I'd ever actually seen one in any store. As soon as I'd picked it up, I had a small swarm of people flock over to tell me how lucky I was.

Are these things still pretty impossible to find?

I managed to rip up an entire trace while installing my Cyclowiz (~1 month ago), due to my stupid use of a 40w iron. Had to solder directly to the IC pin, which was NOT easy.

I was just a Best Buy and they have battery powered wireless sensor bars for $20. It's not as nice as the one I got off ebay that you can plug into an outlet or battery pack, but if anyone's interested, I thought I'd give a heads up. Also tons of wii-motes, nunchucks and classic controllers over there too, although I think those are pretty common to find in stores these days.

supposedly, mario galaxy, smash bros, and metroid will all be out before the end of the year. unless one of them magically comes out tomorrow, that's absolute overkill.

yes, it was once said to be a launch title.

Quote :
"Development

Masahiro Sakurai, former HAL Laboratories employee and creator of Kirby and the Super Smash Bros. series, returns as the director for the game. Sakurai revealed that at E3, he was called to executive producer Satoru Iwata's room on the top floor of a Los Angeles hotel, and told by Iwata, "We'd like you to be involved in the production of the new Smash Bros., if possible near the level of director".[17] Although originally suggested to be a launch title, an IGN article states that "as of May 2005, the game's development staff consisted of exactly one person," Sakurai himself. Sakurai states that many people who have spent a lot of time playing Super Smash Bros. Melee are being brought in as the development team,[18] and the team will have access to all the original material and tools from the development of Melee. However, actual development of the game never started until late 2005.[19] Sakurai cannot announce the name of the team at this time but refers to them as "The Studio".[18]"

yeah, i mean the "wow" factor has really warn off. They REALLY need to put out more than 2 good games for the system or it's gonna go the way of the game cube.
