He answered two. The followup on flat tax was almost 2 minutes, and there was a back and forth. He could have given his answer to the first question Joe asked in about 2.5 minutes.

What I find impressive though is the length and substance of conversation he had with someone who asked a fairly good (though slightly disingenous) question. In my experience, politicians tend to avoid "good" questions because they get at real issues people will have with their platform.

I'd love to find some video of a back and forth with a random crowd member that McCain's had. I'm sure they're out there. I think that kind of unedited video would tell you more about a candidate than most of what you get on TV.
