I think Avant would be a nice pick up. Put him with Cotchery and Underwood and draft a couple stud WRs in the draft.

Decoud will frustrate the shit out of you all if you get him... decent coverage but totally falls asleep sometimes and is scared to tackle anyone. Total "ole!" type, but when he's on he can make up for it. Sometimes

I read they were hoping he could transition to Captain's old spot. He played corner in college, and then you get him closer to the line of scrimmage as well where he can help in the run and blitz.

^^Yeah, kind of underwhelming, but the guy did make a Pro Bowl just two seasons ago. He might have sucked last year (I honestly don't know), but so did everyone else on the Falcons.

Plus the Panthers' front 7 is significantly better than the Falcons. He would just have to come in and be average and make a few plays, assuming he starts ... or even signs for that matter.

Avant is a decent pickup. Other than Steve Smith, our WR corp is no worse than it was coming into last year, maybe a bit better depth wise. If we can find a true #1 stud in the draft, we'll be set. Now about tackle........, I really hope the plan isn't for Byron Bell to start at LT. Otherwise get used to this look on Cam

I would argue LaFell + Ginn + Smith > Cotchery + Avant + McNutt or whoever the hell else is on the roster.

But, Avant + Cotchery > LaFell + Ginn.

Edit: I guess you're saying had we kept Smith for the 14-15 season, we still wouldn't have LaFell and Ginn. So in that case, yeah I don't disagree with you
