We do have better talent, but part of the issue is that we should have much better talent and we don't.

Doeren is a bad coach and a mediocre recruiter. It's not a good mix. Chuck was a bad coach, but he brought in a lot of talent. TOB was a good coach but a mediocre recruiter. With Doeren we've gotten the worst of both worlds.

Abysmal coaching. Our guys made plays on both sides of the ball but all to be undone by poor discretion on Doeren's part...not going for it on 4th and 2 early in the game...going for 2 points when he didn't have to allying for that p.o.s. Fake field goal attempt..using a timeout when it's 2nd and 4 and your D has been giving up 5 yards/play. The list goes on. Am ready for a new coach. Fuck

I agree. 4th year should be good but we are 2 games into the year. if we beat one of the 6 ranked teams it will more than make up for this loss which is why I'm saying let the season play out. if we finish with 5 or less wins then there should be consensus on letting him go.

Upsets happen people. Clemson is in a tough game with troy, tennessee should have lost to app, and we all know what happened to lsu. Just like ECU upset us we can pull and upset and make up for it by beating nd, louisville, clemson, fsu, miami, or unc. you never know what happens on any given saturday which is why you have to judge the coach on the season and not one game.

There was poor special teams and clock management which is on DD

We also got robbed on pass inteference calls because 1st and 10 our wr was held and samuels was held on 3rd down both no calls.

Stop. Did you watch the game? This wasn't an upset because ECU caught some lucky breaks or fluke turnovers or blown calls. They executed much, much better than we did.

There's been nothing in these first two games to indicate that this team is prepared to play and in 3+ years we consistently get outplayed in the second half.

Every game is filled with the hallmarks of bad coaching. If you don't see it now it's just willful blindness.

Nah. This wasn't a big upset. I wasn't upset by the loss as much as I was with how poorly we executed. Again, there's no indication that this coaching staff can get them to execute on a level that will make us competitive with the good teams on our schedule.

Nah bros. This was one of the most important games on our schedule. No one expects us to beat Florida State, or Clemson, or Notre Dame, or even really Louisville with the way they're playing right now. You can lose those games and say "Well? What do you expect, they're a top 10 fucking team."

ECU? It's not even a fucking question, we should win this game. And our coaches took our team out and got embarrassed. We have way more talent, there are zero excuses.

This is 100% a coaching problem. Dave lost all credibility today.

He's garbage. The excitement of TOB with the coaching ability of Chuck. As someone earlier said he's the worst of both worlds. That fake field goal was some high school shit.

He'll probably get another season because our schedule is so tough, but he's shown so little improvement throughout his tenure that I hope Yow is starting to look around for a replacement. A coaching search is the only excitement we get as a fan base anyway.
