I have been patient with Doeren until now but after today I have had enough. I felt like the circus was in town watching that game today. Special teams were horrible, linebackers and secondary were non existent, and what was with the weird fake calls and two point conversion? I was optimistic about a new offensive coordinator, but so far it doesn't look a whole lot different from last year.

^ right there with you. The issue is, State needs someone that can recruit out of state really well (much like Amato), because like it or not, at best State MIGHT split in-state talent with NC, and then you throw in other schools pulling NC talent, they have to have a hardcore, nationwide recruiter. OR, something of a gimmick offense, like Paul Johnson's option or a crazy spread like Texas Tech where you have more system players rather than hardcore talent.

I've been waiting for 4 years to see an NC State football team that looked hungry; that played 4 quarters looking like they would go to hell and back to get the W.

4 fucking years, and I still haven't seen it. We've had a couple of brief moments, but consistently throughout a game? Forget it, it hasn't happened.

Scottie Montgomery managed to get that out of ECU in 2 games.

Can someone answer these questions for me, if they know:

1. Given DD is a Def guy, how much of the D is him & how much of it is the DC?

2. Same question except apply it to the Special Teams. Did DD call the fake and the punt when we should have went for it?

3. If it was the coordinator in any of the above scenarios, what are the odds DD fires the DC or Special Teams guy to save his job?

I love the "Tennessee has a rape culture" stuff when Butch pretty much immediately kicked them off the team and has done for other rule violations as well.
