Great job, Pack!

We've proven we can win with the odds stacked against us--that's going to be huge in conference play.

i was on the road and from the radio it sounded like this was the most uneven, unfairly officiated game in the history of college basketball...i saw the foul statistics, but was it as bad as they made it sound? if so then those officials should be reviewed...

we call this "duke practice"

^ yes, it was as bad as they made it sound.

bama got called for their 2nd team foul (5th of the game) with less than 3 minutes left

Davis threw up a wild 3 and missed. Ev eventually came down the rebound and got fouled, hitting 1 of 2 shots to seal the win.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think any game could have prepared us better for ACC play than this one. Clutch win by the Wolfpack for sure.

what kind of bullshit was that.

I've seen worse games called (as in flat out horrendous officiating) but I don't know if I've ever seen a game called this unbalanced.

Steele threw up the shot I believe, and Davis came down with the rebound, put up a 2, then Ilian got the rebound

unc gets more calls than duke...

anyone remember the unc-clemson game where they finished with 4 players?

duke gets some calls, but nothing like the heels in the dean dome (imo)

i'm so glad we won the game then...i would have been pissed to lose with the unfair officiating...on the radio it was hard to listen to...

I like how Alabama was able to commit 4 fouls in 3 seconds... when they needed it.

At first I thought the whistle was to stop play because of clock malfunction or something... there was no way play could have resulted in a stoppage... How in the hell do you commit 4 fouls in 3 seconds without a single one being an Intentional?

I couldn't type, talk, or anything...this game made me SO NERVOUS as usual.

I mean we had an 8 point lead but couldn't score for 3 minutes at the end...UGH. But finally finally finally we finished one that was close.

Seriously though, the refs were garbage. They called SO MANY fouls on us, and none in our favor.

WHEW!

comments on brackman's improvement since the Iowa game.... he looked pretty good during the second half.. even boxed out a little.

seems like everyone hit a big shot as some point... need to feed Ced the ball more, but I have a feeling most of those Alabama players were stronger than him

We need to work on inbounds plays, though.

That bounce off Atsur's back for the easy layup was exactly the same thing that Brack got hit with earlier in the season.

In case someone missed it, Brackman's grandfather passed away today so its amazing he was up to it.

Brackman also suffered from excercize-induced athesma earlier this season, which is why he was subbing so often.

It wasn't officially released, but he was having problems with it....

Brack's 2 dunks were sick-nasty

I'm astouded we won. The Pack isn't supposed to win games like that...it just never seems to go our way. This game is huge. We'll look back in Feb and be totally thrilled we got this one.

State won, although the refs tried to make sure they didn't.

State didn't shoot a foul shot until 14 seconds left in the game

Points to emphasize: Keeping leads. The past couple of games have been up-and-down fests, and it kills my nerves, haha.

Needs work: Simmons inside game, while he has improved a lot, he still doesn't go up strong a lot of the times and misses what should be easy points.

I thought we looked pretty good, considering the horrendous officiating. And it wasn't just bad calls on us that were pissing me off, it was the NO calls against them that made me madder than anything.

Showed me something tonight: Brackman! I thought he was explosive at times last year but then he'd fall asleep or something. He'd have a quick scoring onslaught and then disappear for the rest of the game. Tonight he looked solid, those dunks were nice showing that he is strong and can go up with the ball. I think he should have had Ced working out with him this summer, haha.

I think the team is coming along nicely, playing against some good opposition. Alabama was ranked at one point, I think Steele got injured and they fell off, so hopefully they'll win some big games and get back ranked to help the ol' RPI, haha. We have George Washington coming up which should be another good challenge for us before the heavy ACC schedule comes in.

^Simmons was 4 for 5 and Brackman was 4 for 7. Atleast, thats what ESPN says as of right now.

I think Simmons did really well. He just didn't explode tonight like he has in the past games because Alabama's Davidson was a friggin beast.

on a side note, why does Alabama's logo have a pissed off elephant in it?

I just can't express how important this win will be down the stretch...now if we beat NH and GW (tough...) to end the year, we'll have the stage set to take off.

^ I agree, I couldn't help but feel that this team is a lot better than last year's. Not having a star is really going to help us I think. Now, we're more balanced, and more importantly, the defense can't focus on shutting down just 1 or 2 players, because we have 5 others who can step up.

Good win, but I just think we got comfortable hitting 3's tonight. We'll win a bunch of games shooting ourselves out of tough situations, but we hit a LOT of cluch 3's tonight. I hope we have an answer when they're not falling, but I think we have enough shooters on our team that we shouldnt have to worry too much about it.

And fuck those officials again...as if I didnt say it enough during the game.

Maybe it was just alabama playing clean, a lot of their blocks were sweet.

But we did get some silly touch calls though. Escpecially Evtimov in the second half when he was pwnting everyone. That makes you wonder why he got so many.
