I would think maybe seperate for each USA game and maybe a seperate one for any big games after the first phase such as maybe a Germany/England matchup(dont know if that can happen with the way its setup)

I think we should keep everything in here and if the US are on fire, a lot of the posts will be about them anyway.

Woody Paige just picked Trinidad to win it all. hahahaha i think its funny listening to these commentators on Cold Pizza, Around the Horn, and PTI try to discuss the World Cup and they know nothing about it

Hold up your brothers in CONCACAF! (except Mexico )

Ok, those watching the game have fun. I'm staying away from this thread and watching it when I get home.

He was on Around the Horn yesterday saying "Yes, I'm excited. We have to go for our hemisphere. We're on the road!"

I think Woody knows Trinidad's not gonna win. He's just being funny.

It stopped working for me too. It was working a few minutes ago, but it wasn't streaming anything, just playing various footage from previous games. They are probably in the process of switching over to Germany vs. Costa Rica.

Yep its working now. I'm getting sound but no picture...

You can try MatchCast on yahoo. No audio/video, but at least you get some descriptions of play by play (takes a few tries to connect).

2-1 Germany

Costa Rica is trying to play the ball into the air to their fowards too much which isnt gonna work against the massive germans.. when they play feet it seems like they are hesitant to push up and help the fowards

the referees seem to be letting them play, which is good

the last world cup was really terrible in that regard

thats a badass Adidas commercial

and I agree with Balboa.. i always hated playing flatback 4 and playing offsides trap.. its hard to have all 4 players on the same page and get everyone to step up at the same exact time

some of the offside calls seem a little fishy...

not all of them, but some of them could have made a big difference

They were discussing this on PTI the other day, but they dont really know what they are talking about so I figured I'd see what everyone on here thought.. what do you think will be a success for the USA?

I say just getting out of the group would be somewhat of a success even though we made it to quarterfinals last WC.. maybe even win a game after group play

the usa's play in group play will be crucial. if they advance (which will be tough as it is with italy, czech, and ghana being no walk in the park) the have to advance at the top, or else they will most likey play brazil in the first stage of knockout play (assuming brazil finishes atop their group - which is almost a certainty unless croatia pulls off a major upset).

to think the USA will repeat the success we had in 2002 is expecting much, and playing a hard game against brazil (again, assuming we advance) should be considered a success for this cup.
