well isn't that... roverish.

now all you need is a high lift, spare tire, and a multi tool up there.

fuck a spare on the roof, like i need to screw up the COG any more as it is. it would be nice to mount the hilift up there though, not on the side like everyone else but in the "basket"...

I would never buy something like this new. I only got it cause it was a good deal, my gf wanted it, , and i got the 4 hella ff1000s for free. lots of lights on a rover are important cause you never know when the regular lights are gonna die and leave you in the dark.

I just traded my 01 Range Rover in on a 04 corvette. didn't get the BEST deal on it, but i don't give a damn. I think buying that vehicle was one of the worst purchases i had ever done. Other than helping me establish a good credit rating, that range was a piece of shit. 4 days after i bought it, some main computer chip component went out on it and the ignition would not recognize the key.

I had no warranty on it (huge mistake) but the dealer took care of everything reluctantly. He knew he had too or it would have looked bad on his behalf. I ended up having to install a new chip and buy a new key = 3,000. 1 month after that my subwoofer busted, then i started having problems with my gps system. I later realized my cruise control didn't work and then my cig lighter didn't work either.

the moral of this story is, don't buy a rover unless its basically new. If you buy a pre owned one, you had better plan on keeping it. And do use it for off roading (get your $'s worth). Now, I really can't speak for land rovers but i think they're pretty much the same vehicle.

no there isnt

and ^^ wow. theres good ones and theres bad ones. honestly I dont know which youve got cause it sounds like whoever was working on yours didnt know what they were doing- which is not uncommon. try and take your corvette to someone who knows how to work on it when you need it fixed.

No no, the corvette is fine. The rover broke down on me 4 days after i purchased it.

I purchased the Rover first. Just traded it in for the vette (yesterday). during the trade in process, the dealer was test driving the rover. Everything was fine but the abs light was on (was on when I got it) so he deducted from it. The day before i signed the final papers the check engine light came on (on the rover) lucky for me, we had already finalized the deal. I realy slid outta that one.

the check engine light came on before in the range. But that was due to me not screwing the gas cap all the way on. this time i did screw it all the way on, but it never went off. It was kinda hesitant when starting up too. don't know what it is, but i no longer care.

I was just wondering what his deal was. I've owned a Jeep YJ and a Fucked Over Rebuilt Dodge (FORD) and I assure you that the green machine is a lot more fun to drive.

ive driven a series with a bad master cylinder, no brakes, that was running on 3 cylinders, and it was more fun than a jeep.

Seemed to have fixed (or severely curtailed) the transmission leak on the Series. Turns out the drain pan bolt had a ding in the threads. $1 roll of teflon tape cured that.

I like the military ones. Heavier spec, less miles (although probably more hours), meticulously maintained. The bodies are virtually rust free (aluminum) and theres no rust underneath (an early version of Rhino lining). They will cost you more, but its worth not having to replace rusted floorboards and cross members.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that spare. In fact It had never been off the back of the truck until today when I removed it to clean behind it.

yeah, wouldn't want to look too un cool with the spare on. isn't that the spare all of the 18" wheeled ones come with? earlier models had one ever crappier iirc. as long as it's the same diameter though, who cares.

i recognize those parking lots...

No the 18s came with a 5th wheel and all but one of the wheels in the set I got was royally fucked. So bad that I sent it directly yo the scrap man. The 16 is the same diameter, and its mint. Never been on the road, I pulled the soccer mom "Land Rover CARY" cover off of it for a couple pics to illustrate this.
