Locke is "The One." Next week, Sawyer joins everyone else who has "died" and gets set free.

I don't really think desmond is a psychic. It kind of reminded me of back to the future when marty talks about seeing reruns of the tv show that had never been shown before.

talking minor characters probably will mean they are going to see a bigger role this season, especially since they are "pretty" people.

So, why is a polar bear still alive.

And, did anyone notice someone very peculiar at the airport, someone unnoticed before.

Deja Vu- he's referring to Locke's speech about getting back Jack and the others.

more than one polar bear on the island. remember that big ass bear that chased Walt into the trees in season 1 (?). the one sawyer killed was a lot smaller than the one that chased Walt.

I don't mind new characters being added if they are some of "the others" but adding new crash survivor characters at this point is weak writing. They better not have flashbacks or I think I'm done with this show.

when they come back from break there will be a Juliette flashback (episode 7 I believe) and another "Other" flashback (probably Ben) after that

I think next week will have a Sawyer flashback, and then an Eko flashback, and then a Kate flashback

^^ "The Others" having flashbacks is neccesary in telling the story of the island. If the new plane survivors have flashbacks, its a lazy way for the writers to fill in holes in the story.

I can't imagine them contributing much more to the show. They'll probably be like the HS teacher that got blown up by TNT after appearing for an episode or two.

ugh

you people suck

seriously

the implosion didn't cause desmond to become jesus and the amazing tie-dyed-color dreamcoat

he was in the freakin core of the electromagnet thing when it went off

thus the proximity to which he encountered the crazy ass amount of electromagnetic waves cleary rewired his brain

Hurley didn't have deja vu, they shouldn't have even used it like that

he should have been like "whoa...wtf is going on with desmond?!' not "holy shit i just had deja vu!"

i wsh they'd tell us how locke fucked up his legs

the new castaways were introduced in the dumbest way possible...if they have a flashback i'm gonna be pissed

the polar bear was awesome

and i hope everyone here realizes that the others are trying and succeeding in breaking down jack, sawyer and kate psychologically and emotionally

If next week's episode consists of Sawyer being tortured until Kate admits/denies that she loves him, I think I'll stop watching the show. The first two seasons were great but this season almost seems like it is written by a completely different group of people.

Hurley's the ticket taker, Boone's the guide, Jack's watching over everyone, THE OTHER is the luggage inspector, there must be some meaning!

No, I mean, the polar bear, it's eaten the old crew of dharma, many of them. I thought, they died of a virus or something. Of course the island seems to have infinite dimensions so, locke may have while ventured off to the artic circle to find the thing.

I liked this one better than the first 2 episodes of the season.

I dont really give a fuck about the others or their little camp, or jack, sawyer, and kate at this point.

I want to know about Locke, Eko, Desmond, and a couple others. And I also want to see their flashbacks and how they are all connected.

Yeah, sort of like in Terminator how whenever he time travels he appears naked on the other side?

Maybe that would explain how everyone involved in the implosion of the hatch were left outside the hatch as if it were an explosion.

i told you

the electromagnet thing rewired his brain

every function in your body is possible due to the exchange of electrons

every function in your body is controlled by your brain

i bet if they ran some sort of brain scan on him they'd see all kinds of weird colors and blotches and stuff

[Edited on October 20, 2006 at 5:57 PM. Reason : it's either that or hey totally ripped off terminator and Desmond's on the hunt for John Connor]

"Where do these powers come from?
One thing that skeptics and believers alike can agree on is that the phenomenon is hard to reproduce on a consistent basis. You may have noticed occasionally that the harder you try to demonstrate something, the harder it is to do it. Because of this lack of consistently verifiable results, many theories have evolved over the years.

Some say that spirits or entities do the bidding of the person. Others say that it is a manifestation of ability that humans had in the far past. Some say that we are all born with them, but as we age and become more rational, they atrophy.

A more popular belief of late is that people who exhibit some of these tendencies interact with information on a sub-atomic level. This may stem from part of the theory of quantum entanglement, (or as Einstein called it- “Spooky action at a distance”) which basically says that any two particles that have interacted before are each bound to other. What happens to one, regardless of distance, affects the other.

Other theories suggest that the natural emission of the body’s magnetic and electrical fields act like an antennae and are able to draw information in to it. By extension, some are able to access these fields or the fields of other objects/persons and are somehow able to use them to influence things."

a few of the survivors have an subconscious psychic ability. This is enhanced by the electromagnetic field. The poeple who have this ability are the ones the others want. Walt had the most powerful ability, thus he was able to appear to locke and talk to his dad over the terminal even though he wasnt connected(the wall that locke saw showed that the internet connection between the stations was broken during the event)

also you sir^ are an idiot and GTFO

sheep believe that we'll find out about the monster every week

i roll with the punches and go with what they give me each week

this week they turned desmond into jesus and none of you understand how that could possibly happen

the last two weeks the others have slowly begun to brainwash and control Jack, Sawyer and Kate and none of you really realize it

don't get mad at me because i bring up valid and plausible explanations for what's happening

oh and Juliet is smarter and in more control than Ben is...for those who haven't figured that out yet

^^I mean, some of your "theories" have some hold, but a) half the shit you say is completely off subject or irrelevant, b) you try to use a website from armageddononline to justify your thoughts and c) you are just a douchebag.

Its also possible that locke, mr ecko and desmond were linked by the em psychically, by the em device.

I liked the allusion of locke to jack, with the waking up in the forest...i think the producers were showing that locke was now the "main" character of the show, whereas up to this date the show focused, in a large part, on jack.

to be fair, the start of this episode shared several similarities with the start of the pilot, so it could be a symbolic showing of a change in leadership, at least until jack gets back.
