for a character that has a major influence on harry, yeah much more should have been developed for her....

the readers perspective though is more as of one of the characters, and the relationship seems to be 'mostly' hidden...

So after watching Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows released, I decided to read all the books. Finished Deathly Hallows last night, and all I can say is I have no idea how they are going to make a movie out of the last book.

Also, they go on and on about how Harry's invisibility cloak is perfect and impenetrable, yet couldn't Moody see through it with his magical eye?

Off the top of my head, thing they could cut out :

-visit to Luna's dad was pretty much useless, nothing important happened
-the whole wedding prep and wedding took too many pages
-pretty much all the camping outside of when they found the sword
-the trip to Godric's Hollow has to go I think, the only thing important that happened was Harry breaking his wand, that could happen anywhere

Also, if they cut out the camping, they are going to have to leave out Ron leaving and coming back. Which means they should keep Ron and Hermione out of Dumbledore's will. It sucks, but those are the kinds of cool, but ultimately minor events they are going to have trim to make a movie that the average human will be able to sit through.

If they leave out the trip to Luna's Dad's, they'll have to figure out another way to incorporate how they found out about the Deathly Hallows. I mean, that's easily done if they just have Hermione reading the story, but still, important.

Yeah, maybe moody's eye is some kinda hallow too and it has its own story -> a "lively hallow" Also, voldy's snake could see harry and i don't think that issue was dealt with. maybe rowling will make something up, like, all parsel-tongue speakers can see/smell/hear/feel each other's presence. This would be lame, but it seems like epic story writers are always stepping on their own feet.

Does Moody actually spot Harry under the invisibility cloak or does Moody just say that he can see through (ordinary) invisibility cloaks? If he did bust Harry under the cloak maybe it was just a case of him hearing Harry and bluffing him out by saying he could see him.

Shrike's cuts are right on. For finding the sword, all they have to show is Harry going to find it early in the morning while the other two are asleep.

If not for the damn title, they should leave out the Deathly Hallows, too. It's importance to the story is pretty subtle and not necessary for a movie.

They can probably cover it all in a throwaway line saying that the cloak, wand, and ring are three of the most powerful magical artifacts in the world. That's good enough to explain why voldermort is looking for the wand without without getting into the fairy tale and all that shit.

I just hope they don't cut out the Fleur, hermione, cho chang three way.
