how bout fuckin kelly clarkson?? the duet with jeff beck was one of the best performances i've seen on TV in a long time. gave me chills.

she had a little janis joplin in her that night. sure she didnt look too hot (is she pregnant or something?!) but that was awesome. and beck's guitar licks were very subtle but fit the mood perfectly. great stuff

i missed the first half, but from what I saw, I stand by what I said last week that Melinda easily has the best voice left - she was really awesome.
Blake's was cool too. Beat-boxing is, of course, a long way out of style, but as far as beat-boxing goes, that was hot

i guess it depends on what style of music you like.
I know melinda will probably win, but I don't think her album/solo career will be the most successful out of all the contestants.
She'll be another Taylor Hicks/Ruben Studdard.

Was I the only one who didn't think Jordan was that bad on "living on a prayer"? The judges all acted like she was screaming off key the whole song ... but in reality, she seemed to nail a song that's damn near impossible to sing.

I've seen Bon Jovi do that song live before, and he doesn't even try to hit the big notes in the chorus.

to me, everyone on there is a good singer, but he is a good artist. he's constantly trying to makes things his own and i love that. his cover was great; he made a lot of changes but kept the chorus pretty much in tact so you could still sing along. I love the original, but I would still crank up his version in my car, no doubt.

He actually has used it sparingly in my opinion, i think it had been 3 weeks since he has beatboxed at all. From the time the final 12 started, i think that was only the 2nd time he had used it a good deal in the song (and 3rd where he used it at all)
