goin through now as whatever class is half Biotic and half Tech...pretty cool stuff compared to the "normal" soldier character...and the assault rifle bonus weapon is critical

Please keep your clearly retarded opinions to yourself.

Jumping is essential to any game thats first or third person.

^jumping is not essential in re4. not jumping helps heighten tension and suspense, and the design of the enemy and the speed of enemy is tuned just right for this condition however. this is the only one of a few exceptions to that, but in general jumping is essential to shooters. with that said re4 technically is not a first or third person shooter

There was no jumping in Gears of War.

I thought that game was ok.

I jump in this game all the time. I'll jump from the Citadel to Feros to Noveria to Artemis Tau and back to the Citadel...thats what mass relays are for, right?

i've been running into a few glitches lately

last night i was physically stuck in a part of the map on virmire

i could crouch and turn in all directions but couldn't move at all

i hadn't saved in a while and had to start over at the beginning of the mission

i was pissed

i've had some glitches like that as well

also on one planet i had to clear out one of the cookie cutter shaped bunkers...the very last enemy in the entire place somehow pinned me in between itself and a wall as it died, and i had to re-load

course lately my game has been too scratched to play

Spectre weapons are the best, especially once you get up to Level X

I've gotten over 75% of the Renegade points in one of my playthroughs...I was basically just a racist asshole to everyone except Ashley...and I'd do side missions, but I'd always try to get some extra credits or favors for my work...and anytime I could be merciful and let someone escape or kill them, I'd kill them...and I'd often be disrespectful to the council and cut their communications short if they dared to talk shit

And how'd that change the ending?

Plus is it possible to score ashley and the Asari babe at the same time?

If so I'm going back to play again

as a female.

i dont think you can bang ashley and the alien in the same game, just one of the two (per playthrough)...you can also bang the consort though...when you do the consort mission and she "pays" you that lame verbal reward, ask her "Is That It" and then you bone

i've heard if you play as a female you can bang either the asari, or kaiden

when i was all renegade (***MILD SPOILER ALERT)))) i of course at the end chose the option to focus all ships and firepower on sovereign and essentially let the council die...then when i had some talking options after that i said humanity should rule with force and when they asked if i wanted the captain or the diplomat to head the new council, i told them i didnt care and i think the diplomat got all power hungry again

That's basically the whole ideology behind renegade.

Renegade is not evil, a renegade character is all about making choices for the greater good.

Renegade characters are more like General Sherman than they are Hitler.

I landed on the planet where there's the people who are mind controlled by that plant-organism. Anyways, I am having a hard time picking it up and playing again... can anyone give me some encouragement to keep playing (Like something badass is going to happen soon)? I've heard the game's awesome but for some reason I just can't get motivated...

Well I finished my first playthrough. I was a Paragon Infiltrator female ( I went with the Liara love story )

Personally I love this game, and am already thinking about going back and playing as a Rengade. I cant decide if I just want to do an easier play level or load my career back into a hardcore game.

**Spoiler**

For those that don't know you can choose to defend the Council's ship and still defeat Sovriegn.

Also I had my charm maxxed out and manage to make Saren have second thoughts and pop himself in the head....I was impressed.

yeah, i thought it would be amazing, since i loved KOTOR, but right now its nothing but talking to people. I just landed on a ice planet (still very early) and after doing more messenger-boy quests I managed to get to a fight to clear some guy's office and got RAPED like a small child. Good thing I forgot to save

i restored to where i landed on the planet and played through some of the quests pretty quickly, but I haven't played it since...COD4 time

well in fairness, once you level up some more you get more health, can buy better armor, weapons, etc...makes the ground combat a little easier...but its definitely a game that takes some time...the different options and choices you have in pretty much anything you do, whether it be conversation choices, order in which you do missions, etc is pretty neat

It's probably easiest to get Liara at first. Noveria might be the hardest of the 3 first missions, especially the boss there.

just saw a little segment on foxnews about the "graphic sex scene"

kinda pointless debate, but at one point, the pro-gamer guy was like "did you actually play the game?"

response: "no"

I decided to pick this game back up from where I left off and stalled out (Feros mission right before you kill the mind control plant)...

... played all the way through till I beat it. It was kinda slow to get into, but I am definitely glad I picked it back up and beat it. Great game.

Yeah I don't even think I am going to bother getting most of the achievements. I'll go through on some games and try to get 100% but RPGs just isn't the genre for me to play over and over.

COD4 or Burnout Paradise will be what I pick up this week... decisions decisions...

DLC coming March 10th.

Quote :
"The Bring Down the Sky downloadable content pack will be released to Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Monday, March 10 at 2 a.m. PST, and will be available for 400 MS points. This is the first in a series of planned downloadable content that further expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew.

Bring Down the Sky includes a new uncharted world that introduces the notorious and feared alien race of the Batarians. A Batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only Commander Shepard can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.

Bring Down the Sky contains approximately 90 minutes of heart-pounding action and a new Achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points."

haha, yeah i've done that plenty as well

one complain that I remember from about 5 pages back that I agree with, is that I'm a little frustrated with the planet layouts that I keep encountering. I am pretty tired of landing on a planet, seeing 4 markers, and having to figure out a way to climb some 85 degree slop to get up to the top to find another medallion. I would have been happy if every single planet was a flat plain.
