yea i just tried dmz'ing my wii on the router and i actually got in a game with 1 other person. still a little flaky, but its the first time i've actually gotten in with someone online so its a start.

i was playin with someone named dan on my wii friends. not sure who that is in here, but after that, i couldnt get in any other games. it was before i did the dmz though, so hopefully i'll be able to get in somethin tomorrow

Dumb question, but if I unlock some characters, is there any way I can transfer that to another Wii if I go to someone's house to play? Can it be done with memory cards? SD cards?

^From what I've heard, you can't do that. Nintendo really needs to listen to what their fans want. You can transfer stages that you have built though, via SD card. IGN has actually set up a stage exchanging type deal:

^From what I've seen he's not that good 1v1... if people are paying attention to him they won't be getting hit with his various traps (for the most part), and he's not quite as good in melee combat. His air tilts are nice when people don't expect them but they're also not hard to avoid and have low priority compared to other characters.

He's a powerhouse in ffa or teams, though, largely because to avoid half his moves you have to be paying good attention to him.

Has anyone had trouble unlocking the "Super Mario Bros 2 Demo" award? I believe the condition is to win VS mode 5 times with Peach, but I swear I've played at least 35 matches with her and cannot unlock it

Snake is really powerful but his smashes just take too damn long. His upward smash has a really good range though. As was mentioned before, if you aren't paying attention to him (which is essentially exactly how the character is supposed to be given his stealthy nature), he can cause trouble but 1 on 1 vs. the likes of Metaknight or Pit and he is toast.

Snake is fucking awesome. His moves are strong as shit. He isn't as effective in 1v1, but in a multiplayer brawl, his proxy mines are invaluable. What rules is placing a C4 down, then a proxy on top of it for double damage. And if you haven't heard his Codec calls, they are fucking hilarious. To activate them, you must play as Snake on Shadow Moses island, and then hit A and then his down taunt really fast. If you did it right, Snake will kneel and do the Codec stance. You are vulnerable while doing this, so if you want to do it optimally, do it in Training mode. Pit is pretty awesome too, but his recovery move is one of the cheapest things I've ever seen.
