Singler is really good. He isn't amazing at any one facet but he isn't bad at anything either. It wasn't his fault some idiots (cough*vitale*cough) decided to try and hype him up as the next Larry Bird.

Zoubek is a complete stiff though...

my thing is hes 6'8. when i say he sucks im talking more his mentality to stand outside and shoot 3s all day. he had a open lane fastbreak twice and pulled up for 3. hes a swing midrange inside player that CAN step out and hit the 3. he let a few good games go to his head and now he thinks he's redick or something.

Thomas is definitely a work in progress....I couldn't believe Paulus was a McDonalds all american his first two seasons w/ all the turnovers but he improved his ball handling and shooting. Nelson was pretty awful too.

if they can get past arizona/wvu (belmont should be easy, they are a very small team), then i like our chances against Xavier/UCLA, whoever else.. don't really want to see UCONN, but both teams have been struggling lately so who knows

i think you rather play uconn than ucla any day. love will absolutely destroy duke. quickness won't even bother him and the rest of the team will destroy duke is well. they will guard the 3s and beat duke by 15-20. duke would be tough but better off agaisnt uconn. small quickness could bother thabeet more easily than love and uconn just doesn't have as many great players as ucla. It doesn't matter though. UCLA will probably win it all.

I think UConn will play Duke.

UConn is a TERRIBLE matchup for UCLA. They have four very good defensive guards to keep Collison in check (westbrook is a tough matchup since he is taller) and they can throw body after body at Love. Love is good around the basket but he has never gone up against someone is big and athletic as Thabeet. If Mbah a Moute isn't 100% then I really think UConn can pull the upset.

As bad a matchup as UConn is for UCLA, Duke is a worse matchup for UConn. All of Duke's strengths play to UConn's weaknesses. Thabeet would have to play on the perimeter and he is a TERRIBLE defensive player up top. He commits dumb fouls, takes dumb risks and can't switch to save his life. They are a terrible 3 pt defensive team and teams that spread the floor gave them hell all year long. Duke plays 40 minutes of that type of game. The only good thing is a team that pressures the ball in the backcourt plays into UConn's hands since they have experienced backcourt players in Price and Austrie who make great decisions.

lol ucla is not coming all this way to drop the ball vs uconn. lmao. they have ben back to back and this is their best team yet. aflalo and farmars team was better talent but it was just baackcourt. overall this is the best team they've had. they won't lose early. final four take that to the bank. duke and uconn are just not real enough.

what makess you think unc is even capable of beating a great team? much less there being no chance a great team can beat them? i'm not saying they can't but we have no idea how good unc really is. they haven't played any top notch teams except duke and thats not even scratching the surface of great teams.

memphis won't even be around. after playing so many games against weak teams it will be shocking to them to meet michigan state pitt stanford or texas.

ucla's defense is what you forget about. they simply don't let people score.

Duke has shed it's ugly skin from last season but has resembled that squad several times down the stretch, esp late in the season. Unexplainable scoring droughts, consecutive turnovers, defensive meltdowns, 3pt futility, Zoubek's fouls/travels etc. After the 1st Carolina game u just never knew which team would show up

^^^If the score is tied at ANY point in the 2nd half, it's all over. VMI all over again and an embarrassing early exit while UNC goes on to win the whole damn thing by a narrow margin

Duke pulled it out by the hair on their asses. WHEW!!!!!

Zoubek is too much of a liability. He can block a shot 30% of the time without fouling. He can travel. He can't score & he can't catch a ball in traffic. I wish the guy the best but he just hasn't gotten better at any aspect of the game since day 1.
