Has a team ever done this to it's fans three years in a row? Lose in absolutely excruciating fashion in the final game of the year? It's actually pretty crazy. Some teams are just bad, that happens. But the Mets give you hope all year long and then just stunningly blow up against teams they should beat in their sleep.

I'm actually ok with it this year. I never thought the pen was going to get it done... and we are MUCH younger a team than we have been in a long time.

This thread can be locked or let sink. I'll get my 2009 one going here in a month or so post- World Series.

Where do you guys go for Mets news? Metsblog has become too "corporate" for me. I'll still read it but it's a pain to sift through the comments and when I post a comment it gets lost within seconds.

I've been using an ex-Mets beat writer, (he used to do the LoHud paper blog on the Mets) new website. He was laid off from the paper and is still looking for a beat-writing job -- hopefully for the Mets -- but he has really good connections with the team and interesting opinions... Oh, and he actually responds to all of the comments, unlike Cerrone on metsblog these days.
