Sure, Michigan's not what it used to be. That's the ebb and flow of college football. He'll be the man to bring things back to where they should be.

The reason he'd take the job is that he went there. Those without ties will not understand. Michigan has more tradition to its program than any other program in country. (Notre Dame is the closest to being comparable) End of discussion.

Plus, any guy who can succeed in the speedier, less physical enviroment of the SEC could bring those traits to the Big Ten.

If that was the case, then SEC coaches would be flocking to the Big 10 for the money offered to turn programs around. And no, Zook does not count. Coaches do not LEAVE the SEC for the Big Ten

It's not about turning programs around. SEC football is radically different than Big Ten football. In the north we like hard hitting old-school football. Down here is about speed and trickery. Naturally, the latter style will usually prevail.

This is why Ohio State lost the NC last year.

Big Ten teams are excellent at their own game. Unfortunately, the game is evolving for the worse, and the SEC has adapted quicker than other conferences, making it the "best."

Exactly, the SEC is the best, and LSU is the best in the SEC and in the country. He will not leave.

But like I just said, lest just end this and see who Michigan hires when Carr either retires or gets fired. Until then, none of us are right. So lets just end it, I am tired of arguing over something that can't be won.
