a couple times I got lazy and accessed T-Dub on an unsecured connection at Microsoft, and I was concerned that some operations geek with Wireshark could have got my password ... could have been trouble since i was talking about my job duties as "internet porn analyst" here.

so i changed it from home late one night, to something "easy to remember" ... then promptly forgot what the fuck it was.

besides, i really can't be a mod anyhow. Monday i'm starting a new job, senior level engineer, with a major medical device manufacturer.

more money than i've ever made in my life, a shit load of FDA regulatory stuff i'm going to have to learn, supervising manufacturing personnel --- and i'm not going to take the chance that someone in IT is going to be peeking at my internet activity and see this stupid shit and pass it on to upper management.

besides, all i really wanted mod for was to suspend you on a regular basis.

so, please consider my failed bid for mod to be a "win" for you. i know it will feel good for you -- you apparently don't win at much else in life.

no, its only the second "new" job.

my R&D EE job of 2 1/2 years sort of "disappeared" on me this past November for budgetary reasons: the R&D dept took on 2 new PhD scientist/engineers and they cut my position to compensate.

I was forced to take a contract SDE job at Microsoft for a significant pay raise, while i tried to find another "real" EE job in manufacturing. finally the medical device mfg. job i had applied for came through, a much more important position than I originally had

so losing my job back in November was really the best thing that could has happened to me.

I do need to quit playing on T-Dub during the day however. there's just /entirely/ too many opportunities for various people within your company to see exactly what you're doing on the internets. no joke.
